Hi Jim - I got it working now. I didn't have it running as a service, but from a shortcut on the desktop that pointed to the real start.bat. Thinking it was a typical shortcut generated command prompt window I was closing it after seeing it produce it's startup messages. This was apparently closing Zope... I've never seen a window need to stay open like this before so just followed my nose. Something should be added to the install notes about this. Is there a place I could suggest this? We set this machine up strictly to be an SSL front end to Zope. The data we have to access for our project is in Visual FoxPro tables so we had to use a windows machine for the ODBC connectivity with ZODBCA. I rarely access zope on the machine from the machine. It is sitting in our server room upstairs across the parking lot with a 100mbit connection to the database server and the router attached to our T1. When in the office I access it across the network and at home (where I do most of my programming) I access it via a dialup directly to the router. We do not run Zope 2 as an NT service. We had problems (the exact nature of which I don't currently remember) running it as an NT service so we just run it as a regular program that sits down on the task bar. That is all this machine does - runs IIS 4.0 with SSL solely accessing Zope via zope.pcgi. The default.htm for IIS takes you right to the top index_html for Zope which immediately makes you log in. If you fail login you are redirected to our public website which is on another machine (which is contolled by the marketing department) Zope is installed in a directory under Program Files (not under Inetpub). Render DTML Document title inside another DTML Document in parent folder

Is there a way to reference a DTML Document's title in the folder 2-level deep from another DTML Document in the parent folder? The hierarchy looks like this: FolderA Doc1 FolderB FolderC Doc2 FolderA contains DTML Document Doc1 & FolderB. FolderB contains FolderC. FolderC contains DTML Document Doc2. Doc1 is called from Doc2 using <dtml-var Doc1> In Doc1, I want to display Doc2's title. I tried <dtml-var title>. But it rendered Doc1's title instead of Doc2's title. How can I render Doc2's title? Some folks asked about this a bit ago, so here it is: first, check out how the zopester's do it: http://www.zope.org/standard_error_message/view_source so, there is a variable error_type, and it appears, from the Zope Quick reference (look for setStatus) to have the following string values: OK, Created, Accepted, NoContent, MovedPermanently, MovedTemporarily, NotModified, BadRequest, Unauthorized, Forbidden, NotFound, InternalError, NotImplemented, BadGateway, ServiceUnavailable these may not all be valid values of error_type (I doubt OK is.) anyway, the ZQR is at http://www.zope.org/Members/ZQR so, in standard_error_message, you can do a sequence of <dtml-if "error_type == errorhere"> <dtml-var thisError_response> <dtml-var standard_html_footer> <dtml-else> <dtml-if "error_type == nexterror"> <dtml-var otherError_response> <dtml-var standard_html_footer> <dtml-else> <p>Something is wrong, something is terribly wrong</p> </dtml-if> </dtml-if> -- ~mindlace

Zope-Apache Virtualhosting problem

I'm trying to set up Apache and Zope with virtual hosts and I'm struggling a bit with the final hurdle. I've only tried to deliver Zope pages on the one virtual hosts. My entry in my apache virtual host looks like this: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP:Authorization} ^(.*) RewriteCond ^/Zope(*.) /home/httpd/cgi-bin/Zope.cgi/$1 [e=HTTP_CGI_AUTHORIZATION:%1,t=application/x-httpd-cgi,l] When I open my browser at http://www.mydomain.com/Zope Zope does prompt me for a username and password. But it does not except my username and password (the one displayed after you ran the zope install script). I even tried to change the password with python zpasswd.py script. I still get the following error: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Unauthorized You are not authorized to access this resource. DTML Scriptin Question

Hi, I use the following dtml code and it doesn't work as expected. <dtml-call loeschen_query> <dtml-var account> <dtml-if delete_emailonly> <dtml-in get_emailonly_query> <dtml-var account> <dtml-call loeschen_query> </dtml-in> </dtml-if> The code fragment is part of a dtml method which is used to submit some form data. Well, basically the works like that. The form has an inputfield account and checkbox delete_emailonly. On submission the SQL Method loeschen_query is called with the submitted argument account from the form. And this call works fine. Now a SQL method "get_emailonly_query" is called to get all emailonly accounts associated with the account submited in the form. This also works, cause in the "in-loop" all associated emailonly account names are printed as expected, but the calls to the SQL method don't work. But account has the correct value in this namespace I guess, cause the correct value is printed by the "<dtml-var account>" within the "in-loop". Can anybody help me? Or is there a way to see which SQL queries are actually called without enabling debbuging on the SQL Database? Best regards, Oliver Andrich
