Which Version to Take

Hallo I'm very new with Zope, I have installed Zope 2.5 at Windows than at Linux. I have make some simple test's. I'm also use mysql, until now I have no greater problems. Now my question, which Version should I take for the first "real" Sites? Can I take a beta or should I take the last stable release: Zope 1.10.3. How difficult will be the update? Tiny Table

Hey everyone, not sure if i have posted this one before, but does anyone have any idea how to dynamically change the contents of a tinytable from a DTML document? I really need to be able to add data into the table without adding it manually.. Any thoughts?? Wom.

Do you really expect to make changes to the database code? Even if Oracle released all the source code, I only think a small handful of people would ever understand the internals of a query path optimizer. The issue also might be that if you plan to integrate with multiple other systems in the future (which is always a good thing for keeping data rational) then certainly you could face integration problems with non-"standard" databases. It's your call, but I don't think that "open source" should be a judgement criteria of any weight on a database. It's opaque for a reason. Don't underestimate transactions - does the Zope Mysql interface do rollback if a page is partially rendered? Databases with transactions (particularly when they're supported by Zope :) make life _so_ much easier - you don't have to worry about what happens if one SQL Method fails, but there's been previous ones in the same DTML Method that might or might not have succeeded... Hi, A mailinglist member put to my attention that my mail demanded "Read Receipts" on read. This is, off course, a very impolite behaviour from my side. I apologize! Due to the mailserver software my employer uses, it is enabled per default and I can't disable it. Performance of webserver?

Hi, One of the last questions for now, I'd like to know the answer for is: What is the performance of the webserver in Zope 2? I'd like to compare to Apache on Linux (our Zope will be running on one of these). HW is PII400 and 256MB RAM. Can the webserver be used in productionenvironment? How much load can it take compared to Apache before I need to upgrade hw? The same? Half? Double? I ask because if an upgrade will be impending due to the performance of Zope's webserver, then I might as well go the Apache way now. I'd like to spare that effort, though. Which database?

Hi, I'm implementing a little Zope 2 solution here in my IT dept. and we're having discussions on which database to use. Scenario: 4-5 adms/real users, upto 250 client users. Adms will enter PC regs., user regs and so on. Clients will enter suppport issues, follow their issue's progress and browse diff. IT support info. So it's no big thing at all. We plan to run the thing on RedHat Linux 6.0. Hardware is a PII 400, 256MB RAM, RAID5 for data etc. I'd like to use MySQL because of it's integration with Zope and web in general... and then it's a nice product too. PNG image import incorrect

I'm using ZOPE 2.0.0b5, and tried to upload a PNG image to a ZOPE folder. When I tried to view it, the image cannot show properly. A check of its property page in ZOPE discovered that ZOPE erroneously calculatedd the width and height of the image(with height of 1229472850). The image was converted from a PostScript file with ghostscript, and it displays properly in other applications(eg. netscape). If I manually modify its width and height in ZOPE's property page, the image shows properly. Anyone know what's the problem? Li
