I'm assuming this is a patch that needs to be applied by the ISP to their Apache. A large part of my problem is that for the next few days, my ISP is undergoing upgrades of the mail system, so there won't be much help forthcoming. I'm hoping to find a solution I can apply without needing to wait for them to make changes. >> A. bug in ZSQL method result caching.

a quick note: There appears to be a bug (for me, at least :) in the Result Caching in ZSQL Methods. If you set the cache time to non-zero, then you can no longer use the method. It _appears_ that this is caused by the code on line 400 of lib/python/Shared/DC/ZRDB/DA.py, if self.cache_time_ > 0 and self.self.max_cache_ > 0: removing that duplicate 'self.' makes it work again... (usual disclaimers: works for me, ymmv) Anthony (yes, I put it in the Collector)

Message threading on the Pipermail archive site.

This is an aside... Is there some reason that the message threading on the Pipermail archive doesn't actually thread completely? Is there something that we can do when conversing within a thread to ensure the thread is intact? As it stands, threads tend to be broken into several small quasi-threads, making it difficult to follow a conversation. Just curious, Chris

SiteMap & Date needed for www.zope.org

Organizational suggestions for Zope.org site A Site map is needed to "see the big ZOPE picture". I have found new stuff by just wandering around. For example: It takes 5 clicks on 5 pages to get the page for the Zope Archives from Zope Home. IF there was a map, it would be 2 clicks. One for the map, and the link to the Archive. Also, each page should be DATED so that there is clear when updated: For example: http://www.zope.org/Documentation/Reference There are five development options shown. Is there anything new for Me? Sure the links show that I have read them but the document could have been updated. With a "last edited" date shown on each page, I can see if it has been changed since I last read it. OR better, A search --"Show me an organized category list of all pages changed since Feb 1st" Zope IS the ideal tool to do this... Right? -bobo connor

mini-HOWTO: connecting to SQL Server from Zope on Linux.

Yay. After a fair amount of swearing at Sybase/MS documentation, I now have a Zope installation on a Linux box that can access an MS SQL Server 6.5 running on an NT box alongside. Here's the steps I had to go through to make it work: On the NT server: Install SQL Server (I used 6.5, 7.0 may not work as it has further diverged from Sybase). Make sure when you install that you select 'TCP/IP socket' from the Network Options. Make a note of the port number (it defaulted to 1433 here). Set up the database and the username that's meant to access the database. On the linux box: Install Sybase ASE 11.0.3 for Linux. It's available from www.redhat.com, amongst other places. Set up an entry in the 'interfaces' file. Mine looks something like ## tdata on fme.arbhome.com.au ## Services: ## query tcp (1433) tdata query tcp ether fme.arbhome.com.au 1433 (the docs talk about using sybinit to do this - as far as I can tell, sybinit is pretty bloody useless, and it's quicker to do this yourself.) Get the ctsybasemodule from http://starship.skyport.net/~pgodman/, install. Get ZSybaseDA from http://www.zope.org/Download/Contrib, install. Create a new connection, using conn str "user password server database" - in my case this was "tuser tpw tdata tdata" (as the database on the NT server was also called tdata). And then it just works (for me, anyway.) Hope that this is useful for someone... Anthony

should work, where monthvalues is the name list. But if English names are good for you, than you can store dates as floating point numbers in Gadfly and with  or  tags you can show them. With fmt in #var you can specify different formats. Otherwise I prefer the floating point representation in Gadfly, it is more comfortable for me. My questions: A. Are there any alternatives to the Rewrite under Apache that might work ith Apache 1.2.x... and/or B. Has anyone played around ith using PHP to handle the authentication?
