Database Adapter - concurrent sessions?

Hi, By adding a Database Adapter I can access my relational database. What I would like to know is if one database adapter supports multiple sessions, e.g. two scripts can query the database at the same time and not sequentially. If yes, is there a way to limit concurrent sessions because in my database (MaxDB) I define a maximum number of user processes - if the number exceeds, I get an error message, this should be prevented by somehow queuing database connections that exceed a defined number. problem with PloneLanguageTool, LinguaPlone, without event show in Calendar

Hi, all, I met a strange problem, when i installed: LinguaPlone 0.7 PloneLanguageTool 0.5 It seems everything run well, but when I use Quickinstaller to install these 2 products winthin a plone site, then I met a problem: 1. I coul add any events, but it couldn't show in Calendar, no link in the Calendar 2. when I creat a new plone site in ZMI, without to install the 2 products, the events' link to calendar works well. But I really need the function that these 2 products would provide, Pls help out. My Env: Zope 2.7.3b2-0, python 2.3.4 Plone 2.0.4 (Sorry to post the not exact list, but i couldn't make a subscription to plone-user) TIA Zhou Zhen

I've noticed a quirk which is that <dtml-let value = "expression"> does not work, but <dtml-let value="expression"> does. OK, maybe it's not a quirk, but by design. Either way, I'd give that a try. Zope won't start with Archetypes 1.3

Anyone know what could make Archetypes 1.3 prevent Zope from starting? Fedora Core 1 Linux Zope is 2.7.2 Python is 2.1.3 Plone is 2.0.4 Archetypes is 1.2.5-rc5 Installed Products are: i18nFolder 2.02 i18nLayer 0.5.5 (lots of i18n content) PloneLanguageTool 0.4 CMFBoard 2.1.2 PortalTransforms 1.0.4 PortalTransport 1.1 I am also having difficulty extracting the Archetypes 1.3 .tgz on the windows platform. I have a simple Python Script called passwordRandom(). It works fine if I call it with: <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('password', passwordRandom())"> But I want that value to be available for some other things, so I want to set a variable with dtml-let. But if I do: <dtml-let password2 = "passwordRandom()"> (with a </dtml-let> further down) Then I get invalid parameter: "password = "passwordRandom()"", for tag <dtml-let password = "passwordRandom()">, on line 18 of ActivateAccountHack What stupid mistake am I making?

[Zope + Plone] Error "You are not allowed to access'listFolderContents' in this context"

I have a Plone2 web site since few months and I get a very strange error since this morning : Zope returns this error "You are not allowed to access 'listFolderContents' in this context" when I try (for example) to display folder content from the Plone interface. What is strange is that the "insufisant_priviledge" page is not displayed but the browser waits until it times out. I am manager and my provider sais he changed nothing on the server. I investigated and found it is the product "CMFMessage" that generates such error but ONLY on my welcome page. The error log sais this : Module Products.PageTemplates.ZRPythonExpr, line 47, in __call__ __traceback_info__: [o for o in msgFolder.listFolderContents() if not getattr(o,'acknowledged',0) ] Module Python expression "[o for o in msgFolder.listFolderContents() if not getattr(o,'acknowledged',0) ]", line 1, in <expression> I really don't understand : any ideas ? Sending an alarm message to all logged-in users

Occasionally I have wished for a mechanism that would allow me to write all logged-in users. Of course, this could be acomplished with an explicit test, but making the test costs a lot of overhead. Is there a better way?
