PlacelessTranslationService

I tried this: <b i18n:translate="" i18n:domain="ibc" i18n:target="string:cz">Good morning</b> This gets rendered into: <b>Good morning</b> No translation, although I do have an entry for 'Good morning' in my .po file under an 'ibc' domain. Is my syntax wrong? -- Milos Prudek

Apache integration problem
by Pete Poggione 10 Apr '04

10 Apr '04

Hello - Hopefully I'm not asking an age old question that I haven't found the answer to on my own. I'm running Zope 2.7 and have integrated it with apache2 per the information I found here: http://zope.org/Members/anser/apache_zserver I already have several virtual hosts running on apache with no problems. i want to convert one of the virtual hosts to be totally served by Zope via apache. Zope is running fine and I was able to create a folder for the virtual host without issue. I can access the management page for the folder ok as well. My problems start when I create the SiteRoot for the new folder. Immediately I no longer have access to it. After restarting the browser I still have the same issue. It definately is an apache proxy issue but I don't know how to fix the problem? Once the SiteRoot I get the following error when accessing the virtual host: ============================== Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server ============================== The vhost entry in the apache conf file looks like: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName www.vdomain1.com ServerAdmin webmaster(a)vdomain1.com ProxyPass / http://www.mydomain.org:9080/jwtp/ ProxyPassReverse / http://www.mydomain.org:9080/jwtp/ ProxyPass /misc_ http://www.mydomain.org:9080/misc_ ProxyPass /p_ http://www.mydomain.org:9080/p_ </VirtualHost> the error I see in the log when accessing www.vdomain1.com is: ============================ [Sat Apr 10 01:40:29 2004] [error] [client 192.168.1.118] client denied by server configuration: proxy:http://www.mydomain.org:9080/jwtp/manage_workspace, referer: http://mail.mydomain.org:9080/jwtp/manage [Sat Apr 10 02:13:05 2004] [error] [client 192.168.1.118] client denied by server configuration: proxy:http://www.mydomain.org:9080/jwtp/ ============================ (www.mydomain and mail.mydomain are the same machine) Does anyone have any suggestions? thanks in advance.

No Access...
by jerry＠westrick.com 09 Apr '04

Hello all... Got following problem: Had application using ExUserFolder. Applciation stored users in postgress. I've lost the machine it used to run on. I've lost the data that used to be in the DB. What I do have is the /opt/zope/... directory. I would like to get the code out of this. I've managed to get zope up and running, but.... I cannot view the source code since it's secured via the ExUserFolder, which tries to validate against a non existent DB... Is there an emergency User I can use to view the code? Is there someway, I can delete the ExUserFolder so as to allow access via superuser? Any other ideas appreciated...

'Unauthorized' Error
by Asad Habib 09 Apr '04

09 Apr '04

Hello. My zope user account is declared in the acl_users folder that has the path ' /Test/acl_users'. When I give myself a role of'Manager' and try to access 'http://.../Test/manage', I get no errors. However, when I try to access 'http://.../Test'(by default this should open up index_html in /Test), I get the following error: Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. Error Type: Unauthorized Error Value: (item 0): Your user account is defined outside the context of the object being accessed. Access to 0 of [(Application instance at 29d5ef0), (Folder instance at 29db1b0)] denied. Your user account, dude, exists at /Test/acl_users. Access requires one of the following roles: ['Manager', 'View']. I know that by creating a user account for myself at the root level(i.e. '/') and giving myself a role of 'Manager' or 'View', I can solve this problem. However, this is precisely what I am trying to avoid. Is there any other solution to this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. - Asad

Python in LINUX to MS SQL.
by Jason C. Leach 09 Apr '04

hi, So I'm looking for a cost effective way to connect Zope on Linux to MS SQL Server 2K on Windows. I know about the ODBC-ODBC bridge, but that is a bit expensive for what I need. Any other ideas? I really just need the basics from SQL (Select, Update, Join). J.

metal: how to get a portlet to render in a plone page template
by hpinson＠indepthl.com 09 Apr '04

Hi. This is a plone question, but i've not been able to find an answer on the Plone list so far: I am trying to embed the portlet news macro on Plones index_html top level page template. This should render the news within the template, but does not: <h2>News Summary</h2> <div metal:block metal:use- macro="python:path('here/portlet_news/macros/portlet')" /> Summary of news items goes here. </div> Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to get this portlet to render in the page template?
