RE: [Zope] Newbie Q: Insert Word Files into Table Cell?

I expect you need to convert the Word file into HTML or Text first using a parser. Once you've got it converted you should be able to insert the parsers output into the table as you would any other text or HTML content. There are a few available to choose from on the Net, which one suits your purpose best depends on your platform and what you do/don't want done to the Word document when it's parsed. Fraid I don't have time to give more detail today HTH, Lee >From: Kevin Jones <ktmi(a)earthlink.net> >To: zope(a)zope.org >Subject: [Zope] Newbie Q: Insert Word Files into Table Cell? >Date: Wed, 17 Mar 2004 17:58:02 -0700 > >Hi- > >I just joined the list and am a relative newbie.... > >I want to place a MSWord file into a table cell. Basic Security
by Chris Hoy 17 Mar '04

17 Mar '04

Hi I am trying to create a product with basic security in it. I have added a user folder and user's to the product. I have also restricted access to my pages via the "View" Option so all access to these pages require authentication. I have exposed a login form as a public method. All this works fine but I cannot get the login form to authenticate the user for the current session. My basic question is how do I authenticate a user via a form rather than having the browsers security dialog appearing Chris Hoy ________________________________________________________________________ This e-mail has been scanned for all viruses by Star Internet. IOError
by AP Meyer 17 Mar '04

17 Mar '04

Dear Zopers Since this morning I have witnessed a new error in my Zope application. It is a database with a ZPT interface that makes use of ZCatalog for browsing through its contents. When I do this I get an IOError now and then. When I refresh the same bits of data a second later the problem is gone. It is not predictable when this happens. Packing the ZODB (from 80MB to 5MB) did not help. This happens with Zope 2.7 on Win2K. Has anybody else experienced this before? Is it Zope or Windows (I have yet to test this on my Red Hat box) or a hardware problem? kind regards Andre Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. *Error Type: IOError* *Error Value: [Errno 9] Bad file descriptor* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Troubleshooting Suggestions * The URL may be incorrect. * The parameters passed to this resource may be incorrect. * A resource that this resource relies on may be encountering an error. Wrong roles returned?
by Christoph Landwehr 17 Mar '04

17 Mar '04

Hi, I have two (sets of) DTML-Documents: Document A has 'View' access for 'anonymous' Document B has 'View' access for 'Authenticated' Both use the same standard_html_header: --- snip --- <dtml-if "AUTHENTICATED_USER.has_role('Authenticated',this())""> You are worthy ... <dtml-else Go away! </dtml-if> Your role: <dtml-var "AUTHENTICATED_USER.getRoles()"> Your login: <dtml-var "AUTHENTICATED_USER.getUserName()"> --- /snip --- When a user views document B, he has to log in and gets the message: You are worthy ... Your role: My_Role Your login: My_Name Then he/she viewes document A: Go away! Your role: Anonymous Your login: Anonymous User When the User goes back to a B-type document he/she is authenticated again. Why doesen't Zope return the basic authentication information for the pages that can be viewed as anonymous? How do I get the "real" role? Regards Christoph PS.: FYI - Zope 2.6.2 (source with python 2.1) - OS: Linux - using Zope-webserver (for development only)

Upgrading to Zope 2.7
by Florian Reiser 17 Mar '04

17 Mar '04

Hello, when I upgraded to 2.6.2 I copied the Data.fs to the new Zope/var directory. With this trick, I preserved the many roles I added in the root directory. However this trick doesn't function with Zope 2.7. How can I get my roles to Zope 2.7 without creating them once again? With kind regards Florian Reiser

zpt initial blank line
by Joseph Kocherhans 17 Mar '04

17 Mar '04

I'm not sure where to start with this one, so hopefully it sounds familiar to someone. I'm running Zope 2.7.0 and rendered page templates all seem to have an initial blank line. Unfortunately, my xml parser doesn't like that. Am I just seeing some bizzare behavior here, or have page template always been like that? I'd hate to have to come up with some hack to strip that line off someplace. Has anyone had to deal with this before? Thanks joseph

Unlikely -- most of the more recent versions of Roundup aren't Zope-compliant. Richard Jones is working on it, BTW, and I'd encourage you to join the roundup mailing list and discuss it there. Using ZWiki's mailin with a DTML form?
by S. D. 17 Mar '04

17 Mar '04

In Plone 1.0.5/Zope 2.6.1/ZWiki 0.28/Win 2k, I have a DTML page that collects feedback and mails it out to our University SMTP server. I also need to route that information to a Zwiki in the same Plone site. Since there aren't any appealing sendmail options for the Windows platform, I thought it would be nice if I could use ZWiki's mailin External Method to take the info that the DTML page spits out and feed it directly into a ZWiki page. Simon suggested: > dtml-call "wikifolder.ExistingPage.edit(page='NewPage', > text=reporttext, REQUEST=REQUEST)' but looking at Editing.py, I don't see where to begin. It seems like I need to add code to the DTML page to send the info to a wiki page--a set wiki page which will accumulate the information. I don't know how that dtml-call gets me from the DTML page to the ZWiki page. Can anyone offer any advice on how to connect a DTML page, which is essentially just a traditional form, and ZWiki by using a mailin-like configuration on the ZWiki end? Thanks! Scott

IIS to Zope connector issues with IIS 6/Win2003
by Ezra Wolfe 17 Mar '04

17 Mar '04

Hi all, We've been using the Hiperlogica IIS-to-Zope connector script on Windows 2000 Server running IIS 5 without any problems. However, we are in the process of moving everything over to a Windows 2003 box running IIS 6. The connector script works fine, except when form data is being passed through. In that case none of the form objects make it back to Zope from the client. They are present in the script (I can access them just fine), but appear to get lost in the binary transfer to Winhttp. Anyone run into this issue yet or have any suggestions? Thanks! Regards, Ezra Wolfe Director of Technical Projects DLC Solutions, LLC 11501 Sunset Hills Rd.
