ST LDAP Manager setup fails

Hi there, system setup: ============= OS: Linux www 2.4.20 #1 / Debian 3.0 ZOPE: ver 2.6.2 Product: STLDAPManager 1.06 Problem description: ==================== After untaring the product and restarting zope, adding an instance of the STLDAPManager fails with the following message: Error type: NO_SUCH_OBJECT Error value: Description: No such object Additional Info: Searchbase: , Query: (objectclass=*) I tried to add an instance in the same directory a LDAP user folder exists. All DNs were set to ou=public,dc=company,dc=com The LDAP server is localhost and works fine, generally. All other options stay default. Question: ========= How can i fix that? I have no idea, since Google, Google Groups and README.txt/INSTALL.txt returned no further information. Thanks for any affort to help me and best regards, Malte.

As DBTab is included now, the install and setup procedures seem to be different. Could one supply information on how to install APE CVS with Zope2.7 and how to setup Databases for APE in zope.conf ? -- michael

Zope Install Error Win32

I have received an error after installing ZOPE on a Windows NT server and trying to connect via browser. "PythonService.exe: Entry Point not found" "The procedure entry point RegisterServiceCtrlHandlerExW could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll" Am I missing a dll or need to update it? Zope stops responding

Hi all, I am a newbie on zope enviorement but I would appreciate any suggestion that could solve my problem. I have a zope 2.6.4 intregrated with IIS (Windows 2000 Server) running on my box. I'm using ASP404(http://zope.org/Members/hiperlogica/ASP404) script to integrate Zope and IIS. The problem is that the zope stops responding without leaving any clue of what is making this happen. The memory and cpu stays in a normal level and there is no register of heavy traffic on my server that could justify this. problem with Zope 'start'

I'm a newbie to Zope. I've read about it and now I'm trying it out. I installed Zope version Zope-2.6.4rc2-linux2-x86 on Mandrake linux 8.2. Products and Icons

I have several icons in the directory of the product (sub-directory www) and I want to use these icons in DTML methods which are also related to my product. What is the right way to do it? Proxy roles and ZClasses

I have installed the Zope 2.7.0 and have following problem: if I assign a proxy role to the constructor of a ZClass that was created automatically, and then try to add a new instance (for example, from the management screens) I get following error: (my ZClass name is Order2) Error Type: ValueError Error Value: unpack list of wrong size most recent traceback: Module None, line 3, in Order2_add <PythonScript at /Shop/Orders/SessionOrders/Order2_add> Line 3 Module AccessControl.Owned, line 127, in getWrappedOwner I tried to identify the problem, and I found out that getWrappedOwner returns an empty list, which causes the exception. But it seems that getWrappedOwner it is called at least two times, and the first call returns a proper value. Of course, in previous version, everything worked ok. searching Zope.org

Hi Zopeople, Another question: how to I phrase this... Is there a good way to search for something on Zope.org? I there doesn't seem to be a way of searching for a particular type of item (like search only in how-to's, or only in zope book). Some search terms find so many matches in readme or announcement pages that it takes forever to scan (at only 10 items per page). Didn't we used to be able to select the content type to search? And how 'bout that 10 items per page thing. Any way of increasing that? ZopeLabs has a similar bug, which has been there for a long time. It allows you to change the batch size, but doing so resets the category to all. Example, you click on recipe category CMF and instead of seeing only 10 per page, you enter 100 in the batch size prompt hoping to see all of them. But instead you see the first 100 of ALL recipes. I have tried appending &category=CMF to the URL, but that didn't work. Anyone know of a way to get larger batch sizes in one category on ZopeLabs. I try to do search everywhere before posting a question here, but I find it hard to search some of the Zope sites. Is it just me? Problem migrating from 2.6.3 to 2.7

Hello, I've just switched to 2.7 from 2.6.3 and everything seems to work well except for one rather bizarre event: I have a specific content type that can't be viewed, accessed or otherwise used/viewed in any way without sending Zope into an infinite loop! Need help getting ZDGCharts working

Hi all, I am trying to get the ZDGChart working in 2.6 or 2.7 with no luck. In Zope 2.7, I installed the PIL library and tried to run the TestPie.zexp It reports that ZDGChart is not installed correctly. I want to use MySQL and create charts. Thanks for the help.
