Problems with roles in 2.7rc1 too?

Hello, Are there any known problems with roles and Zope 2.7rc1? I cannot get a Plone-workflow state to work properly, it denies access to all users - including the manager, even tough I've given the manager role all permissions. The only way to awoid the message appearing is to check the Acquire-box of the "Access contents information"-permission. This worked fine on Zope 2.6.2. Could anybody confirm that this is a bug, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance, -Petter-

Pack database

I accidentally packed my database at a time when my clock was set forward a few months, now every time i try to pack it i get an error saying "the database has already been packed to a later date....." ZODB limits

I'm developing an intranet document management system with Zope/Plone and I'm concerned about the capabilities of ZODB. The system is going to store many thousands of large files, so the Data.fs is very likely to grow up to tens of GB. I'm wondering if ZODB can handle such amount of data in its standard implementation (using Data.fs). I investigated several alternatives, including ApeLib/Dbtab, but they don't seem to work out of the box with Plone (while thay do in ZMI). Is somebody aware of **fully-tested, real-world** applications with multi-GB storage or, in other words, should I stay with ZODB or search for alternatives? Thanks Alessio Beltrame

ZCatalog diff from 2.5.2 to 2.6.2

hello, for some reasons there seem to be significant changes in ZCatalog between Zope 2.5.2 and Zope 2.6.2. Upgrading ExtFile

Hello, I upgraded ExtFile / ExtImage from version 1.1.3 to version 1.2 (on a Debian GNU/Linux testing system). The new version works fine for new uploads. But I have an old application which now does not find its stored images any more. Analyzing the error messages I found the problem: 1. If there is a file <Reposit>/image.jpg the new ExtImage is looking for <Reposit>/image1.jpg . 2. If there is a file <Reposit>/image<n>.jpg the new ExtImage is looking for <Reposit>/image<n+1>.jpg . I placed some symlinks into the repository to verify this behaviour for several images. This is also true for thumbnails etc. Any hint what might be wrong here? BTW, the new versin of Extfile now is available at http://zope.org/Members/shh/ExtFile/ It would be reasonable to mention this fact at the place of the old versions ... Kind regards Andreas.
