When I use manage_addFile within LocalFS the File is created in the Parent directory. Any work arounds or fixes or am I missing something Python script: context.EG.manage_addFile( "eg", "eg" ) where EG is the LocalFS OR - any local fs options? Dave

Im having trouble auto-publishing objects. In the content_submit_form after checking that the object should be auto published i have these lines. <dtml-call "portal_workflow.doActionFor(this(), 'publish')"> <dtml-call "RESPONSE.redirect('view?portal_status_message=Status+changed+to+published')"> This works fine for "Manager" but if a "Member" tries to do it it generates an unauthorized() error message. OK, so we don't need to make a custom Product or anything like that to use an external library in a Script. It's just a simple (!) matter of semantics. BAD: from pdflib_py import * GOOD: import pdflib_py or from pdflib_py import PDF_new, PDF_open_file, PDF_get_errmsg, [...] I guess the security machinery just wants to be sure that you know exactly what you're importing. Maybe they're trying to prevent name conflicts or something? Or maybe the external library won't give up its list of methods. Whatever. I'm back to work after my little visit to Oz. blossom

mail encoding problem

I'm trying to send a mail from Zope (2.6.2b3 on RH9.0) containing latin-1 characters using the following script invocations: # external method to quopri.encodestring encode=container.encode_quotedprintable container.MailHost.send(encode(body),mto=toAd,mfrom=fromAd,subject=encode(subject),encode='quoted-printable') This works fine for the Yahoo mail-client, but Outlook filters out special characters in subject and body. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

SQLForms and DEC()

I create a mysql table using SQLForms. Everything is fine, except one problem: I'd like to create a field as decimal(7,2). But in SQLForms I have only the choice of INT or FLOAT. When I try FLOAT, the input of e.g. 375.5 or 375,5 gives me this error message: Error Type: TypeError Error Value: not enough arguments; expected 3, got 2 The same I get if I create the table by hand using field type decimal(7,2). Does anybody know what the problem is?
