Using string.split() on a DTML method

I have a DTML method, category_list_cookie, which returns a string of colon-separated values I use elsewhere. I would like to split this into a list so I can use something like phred.count('whatever') to see if this value is present. However, when I do something like: <dtml-with "_.namespace(var1=_.string.split(category_list_cookie, ':'))"> I get this error: Error Type: TypeError Error Value: argument 1: expected read-only character buffer, ImplicitAcquirerWrapper found Even with something like this: <dtml-with "_.namespace(var1=category_list_cookie)"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('var2', _.string.split(var1, ':'))"> the split method gives the same error. Is var1 in the second example merely a reference to category_list_cookie, so that I get the same error? Whether or not this is the case, what does the error mean and how do I fix it? Cheers, Jim

Expand all confera topics on page-entry

Hi all, it would be very helpful, if all confera topics could be expanded when entering the page. This was around once, but the tip "adding ?expand_all=1 to the URL" won't work. Any ideas? Re: images in trees. Any solution??

Hello, I am moving stuff from zope1 to zope2 and had this problem to: Inside a tree tag displaying an image with <dtml-var image_name> failed but with <dtml-var "image_name"> it works. I would like to know what is the normal behavious of the tree tag, shall I change my code to add the "" arround the image name?? I display a lot of small documents inside my tree , thoses document containing images (dot,etc..) so it's a lot of modification to do. Accessing ZSQL results via classes

Hello all, I have been trying to assign the results of a ZSQL query to a class with no luck. I created a python class and defined it in the "Advanced" tab of the appropriate zSQL method, but I can't figure out how to access it. The manual says something about using an URL. Is there a way to access the class (and properties) directly from a dtml-var tag? Is this the only way to assign results to a class? Can it be done with a ZClass? Using ZODB outside of Zope

Hi, he ZODB would be a possible choice for a desktop database. Could anyone point me to code examples (if there are any) to use ZODB and Catalog outside of Zope? Is there any effort underway to make C/C++ bindings (i.e. to allow C++ classes to be stored persistently in a transparent manner)?
