anyone compile zope on OpenBSD 2.6?

Hi all, Anyone the latest zope release to compile on OpenBSD? I'd like to know how you did it. Right now I get the following errors when I compile. If so, Zope will turn itself into the user 'nobody'. Can't access /manage

I installed the Zope-2.0.1-5.i386.rpm and Zope-pcgi-2.0.1-5.i386.rpm on a Redhat 6.1 box this morning. After compiling in mod_rewrite with Apache 1.3.9 (verfied with httpd -l), I am able to bring up the Quickstart pages from http://<hostname>/cgi-bin/Zope but when I try to the login to the management pages (/manage), I get denied. I have verified that I am using the correct username and password from /var/zope/access. -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 25 Dec 20 13:57 access Here is the rewrite statement from the end of httpd.conf: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP:Authorization} ^/Zope(.*) RewriteRule ^/Zope(.*) /home/httpd/cgi-bin/Zope$1 \ [e=HTTP_CGI_AUTHORIZATION:%1,t=application/x-httpd-cgi,l] The zope log contains nothing helpful. I sorta feel like I did in grade school when I teachers would tell me to look up a word in the dictionary if I didn't know how to spell it ... the problem was of course that if I knew how to look it up (by spelling it), then I wouldn't need to look it up ....

Getting a few characters

Hi, Does anyone knows how to get eg. the 50 first characters of a text property? ie. I've a ZClass which contains a text property. I'm now making a html page which shows several classes in a certain folder. Per instance I want to give the first characters of its text property. Thanks in advance, Tom.

Checking for Property Presence

I think I backed myself into a little corner. I've got a directory with multiple DTML documents. They do not all have the same set of properties. I can pull the entire list fine, but everything that I have tried to do to select objects with a specific property fails on all of the DTML documents that do not have that property defined. I have been unable to find something equivalent to an 'if exists' type dtml tag which will check for the existence of a property without trying to check for a non-existent property value first. I am assuming that this is not rocket science but a mental block on my part.
