Looking for last modification time

I would like to display the last date/time a page was modified automatically. I've seen suggestions that bobobase_modification_time would do, but I get an error when I use it. Several variants (e.g., modification_time) also failed. The failures are all unknown variable type errors. Any suggestions? I tried these on a system running 2.1.0b2

Silly(?) rewrite question

I'm having a problem with a Zope-related Apache rewrite. What I want to do is to run a "normal" Apache server as my www "root" and to have Zope as a subdirectory off from that root. So in other words, I want Zope to be all under the "News" subdirectory of the web server. This seemed like it'd be easy to do, so I simply modified the default rewrite to: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP:Authorization} ^(.*) RewriteRule ^/News/(.*) /usr/lib/cgi-bin/Zope/$1 (this wraps here) [e=HTTP_CGI_AUTHORIZATION:%1,t=application/x-httpd-cgi,l] </IfModule> At first glance this seems to work fine. If I go to http://localhost/News/ I get the Zope home page just fine. If I go to [...]News/manage/ I get the management screen and can log in as superuser. I can modify things, and I can add objects, *but* if I try to delete or cut an object, I get the error message "Not Found The requested URL /News was not found on this server." Does anyone know what's going on and can whack me with a clue-bat? Am I approaching this in the right way/any other easier ways to accomplish making Zope live in an Apache subdirectory? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated, TIA. Regards, . Adam, Your first stop would be the DTML User's Guide (http://www.zope.org/Documentation/Guides/DTML) This is not an exhaustive list of objects and their methods/attributes, but it is required reading. Then some folks have been kind enough to try to document much of the Zope API in the Zope Quick Reference (http://www.zope.org/Members/ZQR) which provides the beginnings of an "authoritative" Zope API reference. It is not complete, but it is handy. The ultimate reference, however, is, as always, the source code. I do well by searching the archives of the mailing list for text close to what I'm trying to accomplish. This is probably your most reasonable bet when you're unsure of something. You can do this by searching the egroups archive through an interface provided at http://www.zope.org/Resources/MailingLists. I usually prefer to keep local copies of the mailing list archives on my own PC and search through them with grep and the like. You can download the entire mailing list archive set (in ASCII text) at the same link. so i have a query established. i do a search on my site and get 20 results. my return pages shows me 10 and tells me "next" to view the next 10. well, i hit next and it as if the search forgot what it was doing. my return page now has every document on site. i am passing the qs string but that doesn't seem to matter. is there something else i am not passing that i should be? (if anyone know where i read the docs on this that would be great - i could not find any on zope.org.) thanks, kyle
