Hi Steve, this works on my box: <dtml-call "manage_addProperty('myDate', ZopeTime(), 'date')">. Maybe the problem is that you're passing a string instead of a date value. You can try using DateTime() to convert your date string to a date object. Eg.: <dtml-call "manage_addProperty('myDate', _.DateTime('1999/12/03'), 'date')"> HTH. Zope with Mozilla?

If any of you Zopistas are using Mozilla (I just snarfed M11 for Linux a couple of days ago) have you been able to get the management interface to work? When I go to http://mysite/manage, I get prompted for basic auth as per usual. Then the right pane comes up with the rendered view of the site's root directory (instead of the folder contents list with the management form) and I have to enter the auth info *again* before the left frame (folder tree) comes up normally. If I then click on a subfolder in the tree, I again get a rendered view of that subfolder, and have to enter the auth info yet again before the tree frame gets redrawn. Mozilla is obviously doing something wrong with cookies or basic auth or both. Anybody else run into this and fix it, or submit a bug report? Can anyone explain how the frames in the management interface interact? I'd like to submit a good bug report to the Mozilla folks. DTML Access to vars in products

I've taken on my first product and it's now 5 a.m. It's gone pretty well but I seem to have put myself in a bit of a corner. The product has access to the var 'manage_tabs' in dtml if I set it up like so... manage_main = HTMLFile( 'index', globals()) index.dtml looks something like so... <html><head></head> <body> <dtml-var manage_tabs> ---[cut]--- </body> </html> and this works fine, however if I access like so... def index_html( self ): doc = HTMLFile( 'Products/MyMess/index' ) return doc( self, self ) then the var 'manage_tabs' is not accessable and I can't figure out how to get at it. It seems obvious that it has something to do with the globals() vs. self scoping. How can I make the var available using the latter def'd method? thanks jb -- You can only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.

hi, I've had our zope site up for some time now without a problem. however, since a couple of days, only 1 python process gets spawned: nobody 11614 1 0 Nov 18 ? 2:24 python /usr/local/Zope-2.0.1-src/pcgi/pcgi_publisher.py This used to be 4 of 'em, like it ought to be. Python is 1.52 and to my knowledge nothing has been changed to apache and pcgi (I use zope 2.0.1 as a virtual host under apache, using pcgi to call zope) have any of you experienced something alike or have suggestion where to look? I don't think solaris has such a file.... nor does it have ldconfig... I also think the environment variable may be LD_LIBRARY_PATH... Viewing versions and logging out?

I know the answers exist to both of these questions, but I can't remember where I saw them. Viewing Versions: There is a way to give someone a URL that lets them see into a version you have created. What is it? Once they've done that, is there another URL that will disable the version? Logging out: There is a snippet of code that logs someone out (posted to zope(a)zope.org just in the last few days perhaps? Searching my inbox came up empty). What was that again? Thanks, sorry to ask questions which I know I've already bumped into the answer already.... I would have thought searches for "logoff", "logout", or "go" (I seem to remember that the URL for the version had that in it....) on www.zope.org would have come up with something....
