Hi, I was trying to mimic the tree which you can see when you open the HelpSys. I would like to use it for our "ZBook" at ZDP. However I can't find the source of this, so I try to make it myself, but I've some problems, maybe someone can give me a hand? Ok. We've a folder 'Introduction', with sub folders 'zig_main', 'zig_menu' and 'Outline'. Then index_html of 'introduction' contains a frame page to 'zig_main' and 'zig_menu'. In Outline, I've put several subfolders with subfolders each containing a chapter of the book. What I want to do now is this : In subfolder 'zig_menu', create a tree from the contents of 'Outline'. This that all subfolders and documents titles are displayed. When clicking on a link in the tree the document the document is displayed in the main frame. I've already problems of creating the tree in zig_menu! :-(   doesn't work... And how do I get all the subfolders and documents in a tree? Can someone help? Tom.

Hi, Want me to build that? I am the technical guy of ZDP, after all.. =) Martijn, if you want... yes... but I want to understand it myself too... so please, give some explenations and I'll make a tutorial of it. Tom.

LinuxPPC binaries?

Hello. I am interested in using (learning!) zope on a LinuxPPC system. Does anyone out there have a binary already compiled? Better yet, can someone give me some basic directions on how to do this so I can learn myself? Thanks, Sean Moran

Adding timezones

If your counter is incrimented on each page access, then your object database will grow on each hit. Because the object database stores revisions of objects, each new inciment of the property will append a new revision on the ned of the database. For a million hit per day website, this means a million new objects will be added to the database. Definately performance prohibitive. If you want to make a Counter product, I would suggest writing part of it in python, and making the actual hit count a volitle object. This would require some caching logic (to preserve the hit count across system resets) and some other magic. I believe someone a month or so ago someone allready jumped through most of these hoops. Tree in QuickStart

Hi, Can somebody explain me the different parts (and how they work) of the Tree setup in the QuickStart? I don't understand a lot from it... it uses also some things like objectValues(['Folder'])... etc. where can I find information of these and others? I can't find them in the DTML user guide. Tom.

test with ZClasses

Hi, I was trying to make a hitcounter ZClass (cHitCounter). But I've got problems with it. The ZClass has one property (hitCount : int) Calling the property is no problem. But I can't seem to increment it! Nothing works (and I tried a lot!) : 1. I made an 'inc' DTML method in the product pHitCounter, which only contains this line :  If I now make an instance of this class and from a dtml document call :     Going to this page doesn't increments the hitCount at all! 2. Also this doesn't work either :     I tried several things, like changing the url, but or I get an error relating the site is down, or I get no error at all, but also no increment! What am I doing wrong??? --- can also somebody tell me, why I get an error using :  and not when using    Tom.
