Yes, I probably made this more confusing than it needed to be, since there is no specific reference to images anywhere in the article. However, if you look at the actual rendered calendar, you'll see an image there. In other words, the dtml code (see sample code in the article) discovered the image object, and rendered it, without knowing anything more about it than the fact that it was bound to a day, and that day fell within the scope of the calendar's date range. After you've created a Zope image object, named "image1", in the subdirectory named "subdir" you can render it explicitly like so: <image src="/subdir/image1"> -----Original Message----- From: Daniel G. I have used the Image Product in the past the problem I am having is that when I create an Image Object in Zope the image needs to be on my local machine? My image(s) are on the server? Multiple Data.fs files and one Zope install?

Zopistas, Just a quickie: - Is it possible to have multiple Data.fs files in one Zope install? The scenario is virtual hosting, where we would like all the sites hosted on our box to have their own Data.fs file for backup and fallback. ...and if it's possible, then how do we do it? ZCatalog: underscore ("_") character is a separator

Hi, Right now the underscore character is a separator in full-text index of ZCatalog. Does this seem reasonable? I have many variables that are named with underscores (like product_number, product_id, etc.) and ZCatalog cannot find the objects containing these texts. Wouldn't it be more appropriate NOT to treat the underscore as a separator? At this moment, which file do I have to modify to eliminate the underscore as a separator? ZClass "add" question

I've defined a new ZClass complete with customized form and add methods. The form displays some fields for the user to enter values into and the add method creates the ZClass and updates properties and adds content to the ZClass based on information entered by the user from the form. Depending on what is entered by the user, my add method may create new objects to store in the ZClass. My problem is that I can't seem to find a way to determine whether a user entered information. For example, my form defines fields where the user can specify the name of an image file along with some information about an image. If the user does not specify an image file, I don't want to add a new ZClass instance which would hold information about the image. In my add method, I've tried doing something like this: <dtml-if "REQUEST['photoFile']"> <... add the image ...> </dtml-if> That didn't work. Regardless of whether I entered information in photoFile the code inside the dtml-if got executed. I then tried: <dtml-if "REQUEST['photoFile'] and REQUEST['photoFile'] != ''' "> <... add the image ...> </dtml-if> This also failed. I added a <dtml-raise> tag to dump the contents of 'REQUEST['photoFile'] and it came out as ''. I don't understand why the code inside the dtml-if is executing. I'm sure that I'm doing something incredibly stupid, but I can't figure out what. Can anybody offer me any guidance? Thanks. James W. Jon Udell, in his lates byte article, has documented the Calendar Tag: http://www.byte.com/column/BYT20000121S0001 Of special interest is this quote: But despite the immaturity of Zope and its documentation, I've got to admit I've been bitten by the bug. I'm doing some really useful stuff with the product, and this week I decided it was time to give something back. If the major bottleneck is documentation, why not contribute some of my own?
