cut & past failing

I'm using Zope 2.1.2, with zserver on linux, and my cut and paste doesn't work. I can cut/copy something, and when the page reloads, I have a paste button, but when I click it, I get an error saying "no clipboard data found". If instead I navigate to another folder, I have no paste button. Any ideas? Thanks, Bill Scherer

<SELECT> in forms.

There is probably a really simple explanation for this, but I can't figure it out. Any help is appreciated. I am reworking the Search interface for a SQL Query, it works fine using the INPUT tag generated automatically. <input name="priority" width=30 value=""> However if I use the following select tag in place of the plain INPUT, the 'priority' variable is never pushed onto the request and my query method complains that it's missing. <SELECT NAME="priority" SIZE=7> <dtml-in priority_choices> <OPTION><dtml-var sequence-item></OPTION> </dtml-in> </SELECT> In the above statement, 'priority_choices' is a 'lines' property of the containing folder. This gives me the list of priorities, I'm looking for. How do I properly use the SELECT tag to ensure the variable gets put into the REQUEST when the form is submitted? Brainstorm: Zope behind proxying cache?

Hi, Been brainstorming a little while about modifying HTTP requests combined with a high speed cache in front of a dynamic source of data, such as Zope. Idea: Put a proxying cache with content negotiation, rewriting of requests etc. in front of Zope. First time a page is requested (client requests it from the proxy which knows where to get it because it's configuration files tell it how to handle a request) it is cached. The next request is served directly from the cache. As soon as a page changes it is fetched from Zope and cached again. It would also allow you to use any mix of static and dynamic content, because pages that stay the same are served directly from the cache and Zope is never hit to serve that page. Allows to use Zope as a content management tool too. So what's your view? I know that a request can be modified behind the scenes based on the data the client supplies - request, filetype, language, browser type, IP address etc. It's also possible to cache the files requested, but I am not sure how the cache would communicate with Zope and vice versa. The HTTP protocol offers some hooks to cache a file for a limited time only if I am not mistaken, but the ideal solution in my view would be a button in Zope called 'Publish' which would send a message to the cache resulting in the removal of that particular page... Another SybaseDA Problem

Hello, I'm using the SybaseDAv2 in my development environment (Sybase is version 11.9.2). Whenever I restart Zope a couple of times all connections get lost and even closing/open them again doesn't help. I have to restart both Sybase and Zope in order to get it working again. When I use isql after the connections got lost the following error appears: CT-LIBRARY error: ct_connect(): network packet layer: internal net library error: Net-Lib protocol driver call to connect two endpoints failed Any suggestions ??
