Zopists, I have submitted this to the Collector and it is major for people who have items in their ZODB that are Catalog aware. To create the bug follow these steps: 1.Create a Catalog Aware ZClass 2.Create an instance of that class 3.Make sure it is indexed by looking in the Catalog "Catolaged items" tab 4.Notice that there is *no* slash in front of the indexed url: "MyFolder/myobject" 5.Now clear the Catalog 6.Go to the "Find Items to Catalog" 7.Select just your New ZClass meta type so it is quick 8.Click "Find" 9.Make sure it is indexed by looking in the Catalog "Catolaged items" tab 10. Oh no! It has a different url. A leading slash! "/MyFolder/myobject" 11. Click on the link. It's broken! What this means is that if you have a lot of items in you Catalog don't ever ever ever use the "Find" machinery until Digital fixes this(It worked in 2.0.0 Final). You will end up not being able to edit/reindex your objects, and the links in your applications may not function. I am looking for how "Find" and index_object in createInObjectManager are different. Cool - using smtphost even works with exchange. i.e. <dtml-sendmail smtphost="my.smtp.host"> To: david(a)connmed.co.uk From: My Zope Server Subject: Test using MS Exchange Server Here is some text </dtml-sendmail> ...works fine. Anyone know how I can have an acquired property or method which holds the name of the SMTP host. i.e. so that I can have a property or method called my_smtphost, and use something like the following (I've tried all of these formats, and none of them works); <dtml-sendmail smtphost="my_smtphost"> or <dtml-sendmail smtphost=my_smtphost> or <dtml-sendmail smtphost=_['my_smtphost']> or <dtml-sendmail smtphost=_[my_smtphost]> All the above give a 'host not found' error, but I'm certain the property is being acquired properly, because I can put a <dtml-var my_smtphost> tag in a working version of the page, and it correctly fills in the address of my exchange server. I know I can encapsulate everything using a 'sending' DTML method, and acquire that, but I'd just like to know what I'm doing wrong. Cheers David

Oracle or PostGreSQL connection pool

Do the Oracle or PostgreSQL database adapters and the ZSQL technology support connection pooling? If I create a connection object, supposedly it may only be used by a single thread. I'd like to use ZSQL methods but my application should be very concurrent. Miklos Nemeth

Hello Bill, Try this: <dtml-with ZopeTime> <dtml-var "'%s/%s/%i - %s' % (dd(), mm(), year(), TimeMinutes())"> </dtml-with> If this code returns the correct time, see this document: <http://www.zope.org/Members/AlexR/CustomDateFormats> C-style time formats such as %b are GMT-based.
