Including a bunch of binary files in Zope

Hi I've got a load of files (PDFs, TIFs) that needs to be accessible from within a Zope application. I need to be able to link to them so people can download them. What is the best way to go about it? If I add them into Zope (ie [Add new item]>[File]>[Browse]... etc is there an easier way of doing it? I've got hundreds of files to add and I don't want to do it using the HTML interface. If I have the files in directory outside of Zope how do I reference them? mxDateTime and mxODBC

Has anyone got these linked in with Zope esp on NT? Perhaps its my lack of knowledge of python modules but I just can't seem to get past the DateTime name conflict. I've written a mxODBC DA but can't even get off first base with testing it.

caelndar tag and virtual appending folder

Just curious, but I am using a rewrite rule from apache (same things happens if append the folder to the URL using site access) and the controls for the calendar keep appending the root folder of the site. For instance, jobs.domain.com correctly displays items from the /jobs folder in zope, but the calendar controls keep appending jobs as I navigate the calendar like after a few times I get jobs.domain.com/jobs/jobs/jobs/jobs/jobs/myCal. Is there anyway around this? thanks

solaris "install" script

Hi, I'm installing Zope-2.1.6-solaris-2.6-sparc.tgz on may Sun Sparc. Solaris 2.5.1, or 2.6 (SunOS 5.5.1 or 5.6) Pls help, i cannot run "install" script. multipart content type

Hi, I need to get zope to server multiplart content. The problem I have is that Zope always puts its own header with a content-type, content-length, etc on each RESPONSE. Is there any way to stop zope doing this? This is a problem because the RESPONSE specifically needs to look something like this: Content-type: multipart/mixed --Here-is-my-really-really-unique-boundary-text-that-doesn't-appear-anywhere-else! Content-type: application-compressed/zip {contents of .ZIP file, character for character} Here-is-my-really-really-unique-boundary-text-that-doesn't-appear-anywhere-else! Content-type: text/html <html> <head>...</head> <body>...</body> </html> Here-is-my-really-really-unique-boundary-text-that-doesn't-appear-anywhere-else!-- I can set the content-type that zope returns by using RESPONSE.setHeader, but i cannot control what else is put in the header, and the order of the header attributes. This causes a problem with multipart messages because the boundary string needs to directly follow the content-type: multipart/mixed, and the first message part content-type needs to directly follow that. anonymous Products?

Zopistas, I need to have a dtml-method that does manage_clone, manage_changeProperties, and manage_users. It has to let an anonymous user do this: I have to set up accounts for people automagically. I cannot seem- either with a product or just a straight method- to give it the permission it needs to be called anonymously. If anyone could give me a hint as to how to achieve this, that would be great. I looked at http://yyy.zope.org/Register/register.html , but I cannot seem to get the dtml code for the actual new-user-maker. -- http://mindlace.net __________________ mindlace(a)imeme.net I don't want The Truth but I wouldn't mind a Big Analogy.

Hm - what we need is someone running on Solaris who can get crashes, who also has access to purify. We're moving from linux to Solaris at the moment, and I'll be getting hold of purify to try and track down this damn problem. FW: [Zope] using MySQLdb 0.1.2

MySQLdb is the python client (driver) for MySQL. ZMySQLDA is the Zope Database Adaptor which interfaces with MySQLdb to access the MySQL database. As far as getting it to run on NT, good luck. Made no difference here either. In desperation, I moved the server behind an apache using fastcgi. Same problem persists...random crashes with aaiiieee 11 and 256 in the debug log, often with core dumps. May be time to move away from the Lintel box (stock redhat 6.1, 2.16 src install, pII350, 256mB ram) - I don't see this on a sun box I'm also running. Does this happen with binary installs ? Is it just redhat 6.1 (we didn't see this on 5.2!)? One problem is that the zmonitor usually works - the server restarts itself and users may only notice a long delay.
