Hello, i'm a fan of statistics, i want to know how many hits my sites have received, from which country, how long, etc. etc. I run several programs to analyze the logs from Apache and Zope but, i don't know how to split the log files of Zope for different sites. In my situation i have some web based only on Apache, as virtual hosts where i can specify which log file to use for that single entry; some are on Zope, virtual hosts done using SiteAccess and ProxyPass. Mine problem is that i want one single different file for every virtual host i have on Zope. Is there a solution? I also have problems with kill -hup, it doesn't work with python, so to take the daily log i have to stop Zope, take out the log and then start it again. Ok, it's not a big problem, but that single minute of pause it's not making me happy! Thanks, Bruno

i want to return a table from an external method what should be the format ?

I want to format data returned from a mainframe query and format it as a table similar to the return from a sql query so that I can use dtml-in. Any pointers to how the format of this buffer should be ? can you point me to some code I can look at or docs that describe this. Creating Python class instances via DTML

Greetings, I have created a Python class (Lead) and added it as a product and am able to create and edit instances via the managment interface. However, I have run into a wall when trying to do so via DTML. Taking the path used in the "Adding ZClass Instances Programmatically" HOWTO, I've tried things like: <dtml-with "manage_addproduct(['Lead'])"> <dtml-call "manage_addLeadForm"> </dtml-with> where "manage_addLeadForm = HTMLFile('leadAdd', globals())" appears within ".../Products/Lead/Lead.py" and "leadAdd.dtml" contains the form used to populate the object fields. I continually get "NameError's" on "manage_addLeadForm" so I'm guessing that I'm have namespace issues. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Hello you all! I have a timestamp, for instance, 2000/03/27 19:57:53.9808 GMT. Lets say I have a document property, type date, where I want to store this timestamp. I found that the use of A or B is different: A) <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('Prop1', ZopeTime())"> <dtml-call "manage_changeProperties(REQUEST)"> B) <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('Prop1', ZopeTime())"> <form action=manage_changeProperties> <input type="text:date" name="mydate" value=<dtml-var Prop1> <input type=submit> </form> The difference arise when formating for presentation: A) Code : <dtml-var Prop1 fmt="%Y/%m/%d %H:%M"> Output : 2000/03/27 18:57 B) Code : <dtml-var Prop1 fmt="%Y/%m/%d %H:%M"> Output : 2000/03/27 19:57 Note: the 1 hour difference. I guess the difference is in the "Prop1:date" that forces zope to create the correct object with all the information needed to, for instance, recognize the GMT change since March 26. I found that using another kind of presentation format will bypass this problem, i.e, instead of fmt="c style", I use functions like dd(), mm(), timeminutes(). Is there a way to make the code A tell zope to create a correct date object(property)? After setting up a Web Folder pointed to a folder in your Zope installation, what happens if you try to drag a file from your desktop to the Web Folder? Same name property for different propertysheets

In the Z Class tutorial (page8) I read: "Property Sheets also allow more indirect access to properties via the propertysheets attribute. ... we could access the 'title' property via propertysheets.stuff.title attribute in addition to simply the title attribute. The sort of access is handy in the case where two different propety sheets define properties with the same name." Sounds great, so I tried to use to it to create a sort of "international" class: myClass: propertysheets english name description ..... but if i try: myClass: propertysheets french name ..... i get the following werror message: Invalid property id, first_name. It is in use. So it seems that contrary to what suggests the Z Class tutorial it is not possible to have two properties with the same name in the same ZClass even if they are in different propertysheets at least when using the management tabs to add a new property. Is it a mistake in the tutorial or is there another means to add a property with a same name in another propertysheet without getting an error?

Setting DEBUG to 1 had no affect on my server.
