Hi everybody, I have having some problems with the latest versions of Zope. I am using a straight Zope 2.1.1 (tgz) + the latest Postgresql adapter. It worked fine and give no special problem. I have tried to update to the version 2.1.2 (RPMs) using Apache + pcgi. Every time I try to use the zsql methods, zoe dies. I have tried the latest version 2.1.6 (tgz). In this case I receive keyerror: no REQUEST object. Any suggestion ? strange authorization behaviour

Hi All. I have reported this earlier, but I missed to give in the trace-back. The Situation is the following: I can access a certain method (render) only when using the super-user account. I have two similiar render-methods in two very similiar ZClasses and I have set the permissions exactly alike. Rendering the one class is ok for non-super-users, but rendering the other one gives this: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. DST Zone Date, help needed!

Hello all, I'm having a hard time with dates since portugal entered DST last March 26. If I use: <dtml-var "REQUEST.set('mydate','2000/03/31 15:00:00.000 GMT')"> manage_changeProperties(REQUEST) I can get from "mydate" the utc hour (14:00) with the fmt="a-la-C %H:%M" and the current GMT DST of Portugal(15:00) with Zope's TimeMinutes(). If I use: <form action="manage_changeProperties"> <input type="text:date" value="2000/03/31 15:00:00.000 GMT" name=mydate> <input type=submit> </form> the fmt format and zope's zopetime() give me the same hour that is the GMT-DST (15:00), i.e, somehow the "text:date" conversion is ignoring the Portuguese GMT-DST and assume, in this example, 15:00 as the UTC. Since nobody is answering I'm going into the source to find where is this conversion. I'll get back with a solution... How dtml be used to emulate the manage* interface to change and delete properties and DTML documents. The editonly properties howto involved some python code were too complex for me. If I just use the manage method, it will re-direct me to the manage screen which is not good. <form action="

I forgot even to mention one thing! Only when Title is empty it is returned by the catalog! Otherwise it's excluded from the catalog result list. This ZClass automatically reindexes itself in catalog. Now, when I change the contents of Issue, Comment and then search the catalog for the specific ZClasses, I get all the created ZClass instances. However, when I change the contents of the Title and I again search the catalog for these ZClasses, I get all but the changed instance back! However, looking inside the catalog, the ZClass is still there! Is this a naming conflict? Or is it something else? Tom.

Now, when I change the contents of Issue, Comment and then search the catalog for the specific ZClasses, I get all the created ZClass instances. However, when I change the contents of the Title and I again search the catalog for these ZClasses, I get all but the changed instance back! However, looking inside the catalog, the ZClass is still there! Is this a naming conflict? Or is it something else? Tom.

URL of the root folder of my site

Hello, Starting in zope, I am confronted to a problem. I would like to get the url of the root of my site in order to place it in a property. Base0 return http://localhost:8080, I would like to have http://localhost:8080/mysite. How to get this address and how to initialize this one to a property ?
