I bet that what is happening is that the client you are using to upload is saying that they are of type 'image/x-png'. When you upload an Image (or File), it will store whatever content-type the client claims that the object is and return that as the content-type when the image/file is viewed (if the client doesn't give a content-type Zope will guess, but the code for guessing would have returned the right thing: 'image/png'). I guess there's something wrong with the DateTime module: <dtml-var "_.DateTime(7200, 'GMT')"> yields 1970/01/01 01:59:60 GMT Whilst <dtml-var "_.DateTime(7201, 'GMT')"> yields 1970/01/01 02:00:01 GMT However, when omitting the timezone, it works as expected: <dtml-var "_.DateTime(7200)"> gives 1970/01/01 03:00:00 GMT (I'm in the BST timezone) Stranger still, if I give it the 'BST' timezone, it works too <dtml-var "_.DateTime(7200, 'BST')"> gives 1970/01/01 03:00:00 GMT+1 I'm using Zope 2.1.6, RedHat Linux 6.1. -- Steve Alexander Cat-Box limited

Password Problems

Hi! I just tried to install zope on a Slackware 7 Intel PC. In detail I did the following steps: -- cd /usr/local -- tar -xzvf /tmp/Zope-2.1.6.linux2-x86.tgz -- cd Zope-2.1.6 -- chmod 777 var -- ./install -u=root -g=root After that I could read the mainsite on port 8080. But when I tried to open the management screen I could not open it because the password did not match - but I AM shure, that I took the right one. Any Ideas why that happen? May be some wrong permissions? A world without walls and fences - who needs WINDOWS and GATES? set Properties in several Property Sheets in 1 call?

Hi All, I have a form which posts to an update method, and would like to be able to do something to the effect of this:  and have each REQUEST property plugged into the Property Sheet where it resides. It there any way to do this, or do you have to specify the sheet? kh

It can actally support "classic" markup, as well as "plain" text and "straight" HTML, but almost all the ZWiki instances out there have suppressed all formats except StructuredText. A great deal of the appeal of WikiWiki is its simplicity, and its reliance on "social engineering" (read "conventions") rather than hard-coded mechanisms, to achieve community goals. For instance, it is possible to leverage WikiSimplicity to add additional structure to a wiki: one creates a "topic" page (e.g., 'TopicFoo'), and then adds references to it on all pages associated with that topic. The "backlinks" for the page then give you all the references to the related pages. I think changes to wiki to make parsing simpler are likely to damage WikiNature; I would be willing to be convinced otherwise, however. get an object based on URL???

I want to be able to take a URL and read the properties of that object: You can't do it directly in a WITH tag Example:  but it seems like the whole premise of Zope is translating URLs into Objects, is there a routine that can be used in DTML to translate the URL to an object reference? Permissions for properties - argh

Can't I keep users from _reading_ properties in a ZClass? I already mapped "Access content information" to a permission only Manager has... but then I create a DTML Method (no proxy roles) with <dtml-var "object.subobject.property"> and it renders, even for Anonymous... what gives?
