Sending results of query to Excel

I'm writing a data-mining application and I'd like to use Zope as a front end. Using Zope the user can query tables and see the data presented on-screen. Is there any way to pass that output to an Excel spreadsheet ? I feel I should be able to write an external method to do it so I'd be interested to know if anyone else has already solved the problem. You could generate data in comma seperated format (.csv) and set the RESPONSE['content-type'] to something that Excel claims as it's own (application/vnd.microsoft.excel, maybe? dunno) probably just making the page be called something like 'excel_results.csv' would do the trick (must... not... rant... about... windows... crap... mime support...) SiteAccess 1.0.1 still breaks FTP :(

Well, sadly, this is still true: If I set a folder's access rule to be the following (although I'm guessing what the access rule is doesn't matter): <dtml-in virtual_hosts> <dtml-if "_.string.lower(REQUEST.environ['HTTP_HOST'])==_.string.lower(_['sequence-item'])"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.setURL(path='/')"> </dtml-if> </dtml-in> And then try to browse the folder through FTP I get the familiar: 550 No such directory Apart from that, I have a couple of questions: 1. Is SiteAccess 1.0.1 designed for Zope 2.1.4, 2.1.6 or both? 2. How are DC's plans to fold SiteAccess functionality into Zope coming along? cheers for the product, sorry to be the bearer of bad news again... Local File System bug fix: v0.9.3

http://www.zope.org/Members/jfarr/Products/LocalFS This mainly fixes problems with the tree view. OK, so I slipped in a user-requested 'feature' there at the end. I'm just excited that people are actually starting to create their own custom views. - Fixed a bug in __getitem__ that broke the mapping protocol, i.e. localfs['subobject']. - Fixed a problem with tree tag items from separate localfs instances affecting each other's state. - Prevented exceptions in localfs tree rendering from crashing the management interface. - Added 'Display in Tree View' option to disable displaying LocalFS objects in the management tree. - Added LocalFile properties display_size and display_mtime which return formatted properties. The size and mtime attributes now return an integer and a DateTime object, respectively. This should make the LocalFile object more useful for creating custom directory views. --jfarr

Hi All, Since I upgrade from Zope-2.1.2 to Zope-2.1.6 I HAVE A BIG PROBLEM !!! I create a little application to manage seminar. All the methods to consult these seminars work but all the method to upgrade, create, delete return ERRORS. My DB is Gadfly Should I come back to 2.1.2 ? Should I change something in my code? Should I modify Zope-2.1.6? Help, please. about the properties
