How to automagically wrap any dtml-doc with std_header/footer

Hello! How do I go about to create the following situation: I want every dtml-method/document that is called from a browser to be wrapped with standard_html_header or standard_html_footer, even if there are no <dtml-var standard_html_...> tags in them. Just to clarify my question - I have a document "foo": --- <h1>Foo rules!</h1> <dtml-stuff expr="goes here" ...> <p>blah!</p> --- that does not include std_header/footer and when called by http://bar/foo it should be returned to the browser as if it had looked like this: --- <dtml-var standard_html_header> <h1>Foo rules!</h1> <dtml-stuff expr="goes here" ...> <p>blah!</p> </dtml-var standard_html_footer> --- ZPT/TAL or CMF answers need not apply, as they are (in our opinion, anyway) too un-mature at this point to be usable for our particular project. Any help appreciated. I would think you could do this with <dtml-let> wrapped around your DTML-call, not that this is entirely graceful? dtml-tree '+' in discussion reply list causes 'Download' window prompt

Hi, Zope CMF showThreads creates a list of replies on a item and a reply has an expandable '+' to view replies it has of its own. When someone clicks on the '+' to expand the tree a prompt box is displayed saying 'you want to download this document'. I know this is more for the CMF list but I have had no ideas. Thought maybe this was something I am doing wrong with the dtml-tree tag. Have I missed a permission or something? Thanks for your help. Richard

Hi, I'm trying to run zope behind the Personal Web Server of a Windows NT4.0 PC, just as a test. I didn't had problems with this a year or so ago, but now I'm experiencing problems, and I'm out of possible problems ideas. I did the extension mapping through the registry. When I try to access the page localhost/cgi-bin/zope.pcgi I get the message (Temporary not available) In the html source, I find the message :  When I run the parseinfo file, I get a list, unfortunately, I don't know how to interprete it. The only error message I get is : r->displayErrors 1 (the rest of messages look ok) What am I doing wrong? Or how can I find the parsing error? ps. I see that there is no pcgi.soc file in my var directory? Is this normal, ie may I assume that with a proper functioning this soc file is created? Thanks in advance, Tom.

Zope on SuSE 7.3

Hi all, I've just installed the new SuSE 7.3 (x86) on my Laptop for testing, have ZOPE getting started while booting - but I get no access to it under http://localhost:8080 (localhost:80 with Apache works) - under 7.2 there were no problems. Anybody having the same problem or an idea about the reason? Thanx Bernd

Hi Hannu I've tried the script directly on my Sun Testsystem without Apache (can't do that on the running production system :) and the same thing happens. Sun just freezes for all other Zope transactions. Is that different on a pcgi system? What do you use? Oliver P.S. The discussion about the hitting "stop" on the browser...I can just say that the once called process is always finished. There's no such thing as a break. I don't know the code-details but its quite obvious. What the display of the browser is concerned that has nothing to do with the original problem. The browser always tries to make the best of what he gets. After a "stop" he'll display what he has. Virtual Site Root problems

Hello, I currently use Zope 2.3.3 (source release, python 1.5.2, linux2) (Debianzied Version). I installed VirtualSiteRoot-1-0-0 as Product. Now I have the problem that I can't copy/paste into or out from a directory that has such a virtual site root. Public Prefix: Verboose Configuration: Apache is configured using the proxypass directive to forward the requests to Zope. I have a virtual site root in / configured for the Folder /zawiw/: Title: Virtual Site Root for ZAWiW Public Prefix: http://multimedia.zawiw.uni-ulm.de Public Path Prefix: /zope/ Management Prefix: https://multimedia.zawiw.uni-ulm.de Management Path Prefix /zope/ Now, I have a second site root sitting inside the Folder /zawiw/ configured for the folder /zawiw/gl/: Title: Virtual Site Root for Gemeinsam Lernenhttp://gl.schabi.de Public Path Prefix: / Management Prefix: https://multimedia.zawiw.uni-ulm.de Management Path Prefix: /zope/gl/ I have several other subfolders in /zawiw without virtual site roots. My users are defined in /zawiw/acl_users, and they login using https://multimedia.zawiw.uni-ulm.de/zope/manage as URL. Now - as the URLs for the management interface are kept consistent - they can manage the gl virtual host, and the other folders without virtual hosts. The problem now is that cut/copy/paste fails between the /zawiw/gl folder and other folders inside /zawiw. It works fine between those other folders, and it works fine inside /zawiw/gl. Is there any update that can correct this error? Do I have any chance to correct it myself? I even would appreciate any other way to implement virtual hosts that enables (or restricts) accessing the management interface through https. (Also, a way to access / through https would be appreciated). Is the CGI interface a way to do this? I would like to avoid installing a Zope release that is not available as a .deb package, but I have no problems installing custom products. PS: I subscribed to the mailing list, so no Cc: on answers needed. Thanks, Markus

zope users / passwd
