gvibDA problems

Hi, Anyone here using Zope and interbase to access an ISO8859_1 database? I'm using RedHat 7.1, Zope 2.3.3 and InterBaseCS_LI-V6.0.1.tar OpenSource (that's the binary release), python 1.5.2 from the RedHar RPMS and gvibDA-0-9-6. The database I'm trying to access was created, on another machine, with the ISO8859_1 charcter set and it works fine there. If I add the option _default_dpb = { isc_dpb_lc_ctype : 'ISO8859_1' } to the adapter, whenever I try to connect I get the following error: >>> z=gvib.connect('/usr/local/var/som_db.gdb','sysdba','masterkey') Traceback (innermost last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in ? comparison not working

Hello again: I have a little problem. Al my system works well, but after some time working with it, fails. I have a Folder, and inside, different objects (plugins). Some of this objects contains a list of references to objects contained in the same folder. When I try list that references using: <dtml-in list_plugins> <p><a href="<dtml-var absolute_url>"><dtml-var id></a> </dtml-in> When I click in this generated links, all works well, but some time later when I try to click in it, Zope return me the next error: Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: get File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1-linux2-x86/lib/python/Shared/DC/Scripts/Bindings.py, line 354, in _bindAndExec (Object: editMachine) File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1-linux2-x86/lib/python/App/special_dtml.py, line 244, in _exec (Object: editMachine) File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1-linux2-x86/lib/python/DocumentTemplate/DT_In.py, line 770, in renderwob (Object: list_installed_plugs) File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1-linux2-x86/lib/python/OFS/Traversable.py, line 107, in absolute_url (Object: PlugInBase) I'm using PlugIns Product and all this objects are plugins. How I can debug this problem. Anybody has any idea? Why all works well during a moment..? Thanks

Loginmanager Installation Problem(despirate for help)

Hi, I am running zope 2.4.0 -win32 x86. on win 98. I unzipped the LoginManager0.8.8b1 into my zope root directory then shutdown the zope server and put it on again. When I then checked the list of the objects in the zope management screen, it was not their but it was in the product directory in the control panel. Converting from Windows NT 4 to RedHat Linux 7.1

All, I'm thinking of changing my setup to a RedHat 7.1 plus Zope setup. I currently have Zope 2.2.0/Python 1.5.2 set up on a windows NT 4 machine which communicates to a database via ZODBCDA. My application accesses a database that must stay on a different Windows NT machine for legacy purposes. My Questions are (1) Can I use my current Data.fs when I set up my Linux machine and (2) Are there ODBC drivers for the Linux install that will read data on an NT machine? Any answers will be greatly appreciated. Specified ZClass_add-folder

I would like to modify my ZClass_add-method to place the ZClass-instance it's creating in a folder specified by the add-form, not the folder which it was called from. How do I achieve this? Sincerely, Oystein W. Hoie

Is there a way to say to Zope: Is there a wat to do taht the contents of a folder can only be accesed (browsed) via https. Or must I do a filtering via Apache, telling him exactly what folders are served by the http server, and what folders are delivered by the https server ? dictionary of dictionaries syntaxis

Hi, people! I am trying to build a method that returns some key:value pairs for a given string (actually, the id of a property in a propertysheet). My first try was to build a dictionary, which is new for me, but the publisher returned a syntaxis problem, so i could't even save the method to test it. Unfortunately, there was no hint on where exactly inside the <dtml-let ...> the bug was. here is the code: <dtml-let PropertieS="{ 'title':{'Name':'Título','Description':'Título'}, 'Foto_ppal':{'Name':'Foto Principal','Description':'Foto principal del artículo'}, 'publicidad':{'Name':'Publicidad','Description':'Publicidades ubicadas bajo el contenido principal de la página'} }"> <dtml-if "PropertieS.has_key(property)"> <dtml-return "PropertieS[property]"> <dtml-else> <dtml-return "{'Name':property,'Description':property}"> </dtml-if> </dtml-let> So, is this a reasonable way for gaining "extra fields" for "property" value? Anyway, if this where fine, how can I then access the values for the resulting 'Name' and 'Description' keys? Thanks in advance, Pablo
