I do not have problem renaming the folders in the (Zope)root directory via. WebDAV, but I cannot rename a newfolder that I try to create in the Zope folders (objects) or subdirectories. Moreover, I cannot even drag and drop items or folders into already existing Zope folders. I tried to use the WebDAVLogger but the result is the same. There is no change. I cannot rename or drag and drop folders. Thanks, Madhavi

ZGadflyDA doesn't

Hi, I'm having some problems with the Gadfly that is bundled with Zope 2.4.2. This is on a W2K desktop. I did this: 1. Installed Zope 2.4.2 binary package. 2. Installed Python 2.1.1 binary package separately. 3. Created directory <zope>/var/gadfly/mydb. 4. Used Python in (2) with the Gadfly found in <zope>/lib/python/Products/ZGadflyDA/gadfly to create my database in batch mode; my database files went into <zope>/var/gadfly/mydb. I can query the database from the Python prompt. 5. Started Zope. Tried adding a ZGadflyDA connection. *** Problem: Zope only sees the data source called "demo"; "mydb" cannot be seen. 6. Modified and re-ran my database creation program to deposit the database in <zope>/var/gadfly/demo. 7. Restarted Zope. Added a ZGadflyDA connection to the data source "demo" successfully. 8. Tried this new connection by doing some SQL. *** Problem: "Database does not exist" or words to that effect. What am I missing? TIA. Sorting in python script

Hello again :-) I am really trying new stuff here so bear with me please .. when you have a dtml-in tag you can set sort=attribute But how do you do that in a python script? You can't do: for item in folder.objectValues('lala') sort='something': So how do you do it then ? TIA, Gitte Wange

A new list needed?

I'm looking for/want a Zope mailing list that's for more advanced programming under Zope. zope-dev is for Zope innards, which isn't appropriate, and I think the level of some of the stuff that comes through zope(a)zope.org is a little low (and fairly repetitive), which seems to remove most of the skilled people from the list due to noise. A zope-hackers type list would be quite useful I think. Userid in Z2.log

I didn't find where this issue has appeared in the archives but I thought I woould see if anyone has seen/solved it. The userid is not logged in my Z2.log: Zope Version Zope 2.3.2 (binary release, python 1.5.2, linux2-x86) Python Version 1.5.2 (#10, Dec 6 1999, 12:16:27) [GCC 2.7.2.3] Installed products are: BTreeFolder Product LocalFS Xron CookieCrumbler. spellchecker I know that it was occuring before I started using CookieCrumbler and spellchecker. One item in the archives indicated that it *may* be asociated with LocalFS. The symptom is that I get a dash ( - ) following the IP where the userid should be. Mozilla 0.9.4 and ZMI

Hi, Got untimely problems using ZMI with the latest Mozilla (Win2000). The tree is correctly displayed in the left frame when the right frame shows the rendered content rather than the manage_main interface !!! Did I miss something or what ? TIA --Gilles

That is some pretty funky code, Seb, but it worked! Would you *please* explain what you did? Especially the syntax with all the wild punctuation! The idea of this, my first external method, was to keep_it_simple. So much for that.
