Hi Andreas Jung, I have few questions about using Zope-WebDAV. I am using the Zope 2.4.2 with Win2K. I have created a web folder for zope on a different machine. And I have problems renaming the Zope folders via. WebDAV. I am curious to know... 1. How do Zope-WebDAV work together? 2. Using client web folder can I rename the Zope folders (I could not do this. I tried to, but it gave me an error message saying, "unable to rename the folder")? 3. Can I drag and drop items into a Zope folders via client web folder? (I could not do even this.The error it gives me is,"cannot copy the item into the specified folder"). 4. How do i edit the dtml documents via. WebDAV? Please let me know if this is a bug or if I have to configure something else to make it work. Thanks, Madhavi Bagepalli

How to Use Javascript returns in DTML tags

Very strange access permission problem in 2.4.1

Hi, i just stumbled about a very strange behaviour in zope 2.4.1. First the known facts: i have some dtml-methods in a folder and one external script in another. At some time they stopped working when called through another dtml-methods or from an python-script. Exactly i got an "You are Unauthorized to access 'xyz'". Of course im perfectly authorized as i'm the manager and the calling methods had 'manager' proxy role. I solved the problem by deleting and recreating the methods. Now my assumptions: 1) It possibly is related to a problem with versions: If you create a version and do some changes in it and then save the changes *before* leaving the version, very strange things happen... the version seems to be saved, but there are still locked items that are said to be locked in that version. pressing save does bring up "There is no unsaved work in this version." So with some undo tricks i got the version work back, but perhaps the problems descibed above have arisen from this. 2) It also could be a problem with mySqlUserFolder i have version 0.6.2 running... My Config: mySqlUserFolder 0.6.2 (some other products that doesn't matter) Zope 2.4.1 source release Python 2.1.1 source release Cobalt (RedHat) Linux 7.0 Perhaps someone also experienced this ... LocalFS, default browsing, and subdirectories

Problems with Zope 2.4.2 and LocalFS 0.10.1

Hello all, I have the following problem: when Zope starts there is a import problem with the LocalFS product. It tries to import ts_reges.py obtaining a DeprecationWarning and the product appears broken in the zope management interface. Are there anybody who has fixed this problem? You can't do what you are trying to do in this manner :-( .... however there is hope! :-) I assume that you have 2 frames, one with the rfqNumber and the other to display the results - very similar to the ZMI. You have to have the frame with the number call a page in the other frame. This page then takes that number and uses it in from the REQUEST object and plugs it into your query. [ADVANCED] How do YOU guys do many-to-many in Zope without relational?

I am in the situation where I have to do what corresponds to a many-to-many relation in Zope. I basically have two zClassses. students and subjects. There can be many subjects, and in any subject there can be any number of students. What I do now is having a studentlist under each subject. But this doesn't really work because any single student can belong to any number of subjects. So if this was an ordinary relational db it would be many to many. Now I considder making a global student list and then do a recursive search for subjects in the site, so that each student can be related to a subject with a selectbox or somesuch. But if someone renames, deletes or moves a subject I am f.*?d Or the student is. The relation to the subject is invalidated. I have never seen it used, but would it be possible to store the "global object id" in a list in a user object, and then get the path to the subject object from that? Or should I make the subject a global list to? That way I only have to check if the object exists or not. Not where it is in the object hierachy.
