Using py exp in dtml-var tag

Dear List, i would like to pass the size attribute of a dtml-var tag as a python expression or document/folder-property. Sth like this: <dtml-var mytext size="property_of_folder">. I found several suggestions of expanding the dtml-rendering engine on zope.org, but i am not sure if there is a way one could actually do it already? Hi I want to find Objects with certain values. Zclass - Zcatalog

Hello, maybe can somebody help for the case explain below: I made a product called BOX In this product, I create two Zclasses: -one called Fiche -another one called acteur Zclass Fiche has a property called lesacteurs (lines) Zclass acteur has a property called nom (string) The content structure is like this: XXXRootFolder: -REDBOX: -Fiche1 -Fiche2 -Fiche3 -Allacteurs: acteur1 acteur2 acteur3 The property called lesacteurs in Fiche list selected Id's of acteur Zclass instance choose by user. Then I have for exemple the property lesacteurs of Fiche1 containig: acteurs1 acteurs2 In the render method of Fiche Zclass, I like to see the lesacteurs property but not the ID's of acteur Zclass instance selected but the PROPERTY nom of each instances. Help would be great great appreciated to solve this problem. Later I'll have thousands of acteur instances, then I think the best way is to use Zcatalog, but I don't know how to call the nom property from the render method in Fiche Zclass. zope, apache and mailman - configuration help

Hi... ok, I've suceeded in setting up Zope (2.4.1) behind Apache using mod_rewrite and virtual host monster to serve zope content from a virtual domain. I'm trying now to set up mailman in that same virtual domain and having a devil of a time getting all the rewriting & aliasing and whatnot straight. at: http://www.zope.org/Members/michel/HowTos/ApacheRewriting Michel Pelletier describes *exactly* my situation, however, I can't seem to get things working as he outlines. I'm quite new to using mod_rewrite, but it seems that there are some problems with the rules he suggests. Can anyone clarify Michel's example for me? or suggest what type of rewrite rule I ought to use to get /mailman/ and /pipermail/ correctly directed to where they belong? thanks much! + Larry J. Getting pictures from filesystem

Hello, I need to display some pictures in a zope site. These pictures are located in the filesystem in Zope's var dir. (There is a reason for this and it cannot be changed). I was wondering if I could create some sort of external method or something in order to get the content of the image file. Accessing default properties on addObjectForm

This isn't exactly what you asked for, but try something like (untested): created = '7' created_usage = 'range:min' To get items less than 7 days old. It may be that the '7' is handled as a string, and not a number. I don't want to be dense but it sounds like for each thread a deep copy of the items it accesses- Folder for example- is made. When session ends or something triggers a commit a check is made for conflicts. This sounds a bit scarry because if you have a script changing resources like a Folders it is almost certain then that there will be a conflict. At this point a retry still find conflicts. I would rather have heard the Folder was a critical section or methods like manage_changeProperties were atomic. ExUserFolder + Core Session Tracking - authentication with cookies, error on first load

Using: Zope Zope 2.3.2 ExUserFolder 0-8-0 CoreSessionTracking 0.9 I spent some time today downlaoding and playing around with exUserFolder and got it to auhenticate from Postgres just fine. Then I tired to play around also with CoreSessionTracking and found this problem. I have a secured folder, which requires authentication and in which I will try to move into. Authentication pops up and I write rigth username and password. Then should come the page, but usually comes error - from which the traceback is down below. That error also comes from time to time, if I reload page which is using core session tracking. Example page I used testing core session tracking: <dtml-with sessiondatamanager> <dtml-let a=getSessionData> Before change: <dtml-var a><br> <dtml-call "a.set('zopetime', ZopeTime())"> <dtml-comment> 'zopetime' will be set to a datetime object for the current session </dtml-comment> After change: <dtml-var a><br> </dtml-let> </dtml-with>  Anyone else noticed this? -huima

Profiling / Speed Optimizations

Hi! Is there an easy way to run something like a profiler through my site? The site has grown to a rather big and complex monster. Now I'm trying to do some optimizations. Apart from what I can _see_ (damn, that article is rendering slowly...), I would like to have stats on how time-consuming the different "parts" are. I was thinking of writing a little script that accesses every object in the ZODB and keeps track of the response times. This seems a bit clumsy, though, and reveals only very basic info. Is there something around, zope-specific, or maybe some other tool? Thank you very much in advance, Danny
