Zope failed. Ok after rm /var/lib/zope/var/cound*

Hello, We run a Zope website for almost a year now and the last week Zope failed twice. Instead of the homepage, we got an error message. Strange thing is that the management pages and a password protected part of the site worked ok. I could get Zope working by: 1) Shutting Zope down 2) Deleting the file /var/lib/zope/var/cound.998308977.097.counter 3) Starting Zope What's so special about this cound* file? This is the version we are running: Zope Version Zope 2.3.0 (source release, python 1.5.2, linux2) Python Version 1.5.2 (#0, Apr 3 2000, 14:46:48) [GCC 2.95.2 20000313 (Debian GNU/Linux)] System Platform linux2 Thanks, Edwin Martin.

Hi there, I created two new rules to deal with inner documental lists of topics. They are very similar to inner_link and named_link. So I named them inner_linkEx and named_linkEx. The difference between the two pairs is: - the enclosing brackets are removed - whitespace is allowed - whitespace and non ASCII characters are filtered from the links - the rules are triggered by .. [.] and [.] Example: [.Die Geschichte der fröhlichen Dirne] ..[.Die Geschichte der fröhlichen Dirne] becomes: <p><a href="#DieGeschichtederfrohlichenDirne">Die Geschichte der fröhlichen Dirne</a></p> <p><a name="DieGeschichtederfrohlichenDirne">Die Geschichte der fröhlichen Dirne</a></p> If anybody is interested in it I will wrap it up and post it on to the Zope site. How work transactions in Zope ??

How could I do a transaction with ZODBC DA ?? I am accesing to a Jet Database (.mdb file) If I put several sql commands in a same zsql method (separated with ;), the driver complais. Or is it implicit ? (ie I shoud call several Zsql method from a Python script) -- __o _ \<_ (_)/(_) Saludos de Julián EA4ACL -.-

We have had a similar problem today, with Document Library 1.0b2 and the upgrade of Zope 2.4.2 (from 2.4.1). Bug importing a product in Windows ??

Why do I have this error when I import this ZClass product in Zope-Windows??? It is freshly exported from my Zope-Linux. Zope & Postgres with Images

I am trying to develope a db application that uses a postgres backend. 1) I want to store images in postgres db. Anyone figured how to do this? (Postgres does not have a built in type such as BLOB in mysql to store binary data) 2) Assuming that I have one figured out....how next do I render the images extracted from the db to a webpage through zope? thanks in advance karl Munroe
