z Sql method and data type on insert...

Hi all, I want to use formulator + z sql method to insert data to a Mysql db. Got the form setup, but I have some fieldS that are "textarea" field type in the form, blob in my DB. The problem is that in the sql insert command, the following: "<dtml-sqlvar instructions_recette type="blob">" is not recognized by the Z sql method. Also, what are the valid data type for zsql method? The only one I could find where string or int. Static content issues

I have had zope running here for a few days now to investigate using it as a place for the whole company to be able to put documents that they want to share with the rest. This will be a lot of files with very few changes each day and I realize now that everything is stored in all one file -- var/data.fs. So, the questions become: 1) How will this impact my backups? As I see it, eventually this file will become huge and I will be saving it to the backup tape every day. How can I only save the changes? Is there a way to get it to keep objects of type "File" external? 2) What do I do to restore only part of it? Often I get people that say they need something restored from several days ago because thay made a mistake. How can I handle this with everything in one file? 3) Should I be using a different product, like Apache + mod_dav and leave zope for more dynamic content? Apache does not have the integrated access management. Input/output error

Dear All, I have imported the .zexp file from my NT machine to the Linux . But as i try to click on the imported folder then I get the following error. Any Ideas why? Accessrule and site root folder "in the depth" of the zope tree

Hi, As you can see in the nexts script (accessrule), I want all request to www.site2.com to start from the Zope folder "somewhere/site2" (2nd level of ZODB tree) but it does not work when it works for site1 (like all others at first level of ZODB tree). Is there something I missed (I'm sure I did but what... :)). Taking Ownership Oddity

I have a User with Roles Owner and Manager in root. The "Take Ownership" permission is set for Owner and Manager in root. When this User imports a FOOproduct.zexp and FOOapp.zexp into the application, he gets ownership of everything, except a specific few methods (Python Scripts) at a specific class. I cannot see anything different (permissions, for instance) between this class and the other classes where ownership does transfer/change. I have checked the mailing lists, how to's and Zope Book, but don't get anything (at least that's obvious to me) pointing towards what I'm doing wrong. I can go to each of the "misbehaving methods" and take ownership, but don't want to have to do that with every upgrade! Any suggestions what may be going on here? Private Products

Hello all: I'm newby with zope... I want create a Product for example named "Factory" that includes another Products like Machines, Tasks, etc... But I don't want that these Products (Machines, Tasks, etc) to be "addables" in the Add List, only the Factory... How I can do this? It's posible? For now, I have created a Product Factory and a normal python class named Machines, but I don't want this... Thanks...

Netscape Problem ?

Hi, I try to send an URL from another system(Java) to Zope by using Netscape 4.7 . When I send the URL to Zope(Method page) he loose the authentication, and the cookies. Other Browsers don't have this problem. gt

Hi, When I send an URL with a list from a HTML Web page to a page in Zope I get no answers from the page in Zope, or I get an error message. The other Browsers works fine with the URL. Is there a REQUEST problem ? Is Netscape 4.7 too old ? GT
