We develop our on-line e-business/commerce software in Zope and Python, and need a skilled developer for this environment on short notice, either as a sub-contractor or as an employee. A temporary assignment is possible, we're looking at at least a three months' job. Necessary skills: Zope, Python, simple HTML design, PostgreSQL, Linux. We are a small shop, so you'll have a broad task range: developing software for on-line webhosting transactions (our dealers need to be able to create new virtual hostings, domain mgt., etcetera through-the-web), 3rd line support, integrating other systems (we host Intershop, Apache, IIS). Offline testing

I'm attempting to run offline unit tests (via PyUnit, importing the Zope module with Zope turned off) against some functionality I've written via Python Scripts. The error messages are not helping much, and the online tests work fine, so I'm at a loss to troubleshoot this. Any suggestions on how to interpret the following, or pointers to Zope troubleshooting resources that would help, would be greatly appreciated. Essentially, I have a /lib/issue/add_issue Python script which takes a string argument and creates a new folder by that name in a certain path. The add_issue script acts under a proxy to run as a Manager. If the user is Anonymous, they shouldn't even be actually getting locks, as they're protected by the "WebDAV Lock items" permission. This permission protects the webdav.Resource.LOCK() method itself, so the client should be getting an unauthorized exception on the LOCK command (unless you've granted the permission to Anonymous users). I set up a situation in GoLive 5 where the user had access to every permission *except* "WebDAV Lock items" and "WebDAV Unlock items". When I opened documents to edit, it would warn me about being unauthorized to lock items, but open the document anyways. While the document was open, Zope was still responsive. Even after I granted access to Locks, Zope was still responsive while the Lock was in place. Hi everyone, after a long (really long) silence, I am pleased to announce the version 1.0 of the OpenFlow project. OpenFlow is a workflow management system, written in Zope + Python. It has been heavily based on the Chautauqua workflow (see more information on the chautaqua Website, www.cs.colorado.edu/~carlosm/chautauqua.html) This work is largely the Master thesis of Clemente Rivetti, who has graduated here at Icube working on OpenFlow.
