hi again after an eventful weekend, and comments from others, here's the revised draft http://www.zope.org/Members/kedai/BuildSimpleZClass/index_html i hope others help me make this better. some terms, definitions, reasons i don't explain/comment because i don't know, or i can't really word it. i'll try and mine some def, terms, reasons from other howtos/mailinglist. is it now presentable to the unsuspecting world? thanks

Membership Bug

It is impossible to delete a member using the UI provided by the current Membership product (0.7.8). To resolve this problem, I had to make a number of changes to the delUserForm dtml method. Since not being able to delete users seriously compromises the usefulness of this product, I am posting this bug report to the Zope list. Possible 'Copy' Bug in 2.3.0

Attempting to copy objects within a login manager object produces the following error under 2.3.0. Copy works correctly inside a login manager object in 2.2.4. Membership Install & ZCatalog

It appears that the Membership product will no longer install under 2.3.0 due to a ZCatalog bug. Specifically, attempting to paste (or manage_clone) a ZCatalog fails with the message "The object MemberCatalog does not support this operation." Since Membership include a ZCatalog, this bug prevents it from installing under 2.3.0. Now, I'm a bit new to all this, but I'm guessing that Digital Creations should be informed about this since ZCatalog is a core Zope product. How do I go about reporting a bug? -- Ed Goppelt

hi, I am using zope for my project. nothing should be able to see without password. So I want to make a script logout. so , when an user runs that(java scrit), if he again tries to enter into the same page, it should again ask for password. Since the browser remembers the password , it won't ask again. is there any solution for this. thanks in advance. subbu

Zope 2.3 kills Netscape 4.74

The new Zope 2.3 interface kills my Linux Netscape 4.74 almost always when I change the window size. Of cause, this is a Netscape bug. Nevertheless, I would be happy to get some hint about the precise cause and how to circumvent it. Dieter

dav stopped working

Hi, after some pretty good experiences with dav (using the cadaver client) my X server crashed (which terminated zope and two open dav clients) dav suddenly stopped working. i get the following error message: Connecting to server... connected. Locking `team.html': failed: 500 Internal Server Error with the webdav locking manager i can find no open locks. the normal web interface still works with no problems. what now? :) --Oliver
