Is it possible to nest <dtml-in> tags? Actually, I know it isn't because that's something I've tried already and it didn't work. At least, it didn't work the way I tried it. I'm just getting my feet wet with dtml, and I created a table using one dtml method to create one row of the table using the <dtml-in> tag, but it seems silly to have to have a completely separate method for one <tr> tag in a method all by itself. I did solve the problem this way: I created one method with the definition of one row of a table, then created another method with one <tr> tag to create the next row of the table, then looped using <dtml-in> first-method second-method</dtml-in>. It just seems kinda klunky... Thanks for any help! However, you should note: * "dtml-in" does not sort single values, but tuples ( sort_values, client), where "sort_values" is either a single value or a list of values and "client" is the current element. Your sort function must handle this case * "dtml-in" supports multiple sort keys. I would expect to have a comparison function for each sort key, with the global comparison function a composition of that for the sort keys. Thus, you can combine a locale sensitive sort with (e.g.) a date sort. Dieter

Running Zope Under Win95

Hi All I hope this is the right list for this subject. I've downloaded the latest stable release of Zope to use under Win95 as a personal server for web site development testing. Trouble is when I run start.bat I get 2 separate bursts of HD activity then the program just sits there. Any help to get me beyond this stage would be very much appreciated. Regards jaygee

Zope vs other Web Languages.

I've been asked by my superiors to justify using Zope for our web database applications from a performance perspective. I've searched the web and tried to search the Zope site for any relevant performance benchmarks comparing Zope to languages such as ASP, PHP and JSP. Has anyone done any real world benchmarks? Confusing user folder and permissions

Hello, I am trying to figure out how the user folder works. (Yes Chris I have read the book *S*) I want a section (it's in a folder) to be non-accessable for anonymous user. I enter the security tab of that folder and look at the list of permissions. In the column beloning to the anonymous user I see that non of the checkboxes are checked. (In my head I get this as: Ah this user cannot access the folder). But when I - as anonymous user - enters the folder nothing stops me. I see all the data I shouldn't. I use a python script to do this all day :) Zope Coolness: You don't have to run through the array. Pass the array as a parameter to manage_delObjects. Authenticate users

CMF reconfiguration error

Hello, I tried the CMF on a clean Zope 2.3.1 configuration. Everything went pretty good, except for the reconfiguration of the portal: Error Type: TypeError Error Value: expected integer key The traceback is in the end of this message. I am using a Windows machine, so the assumptions in the readme are not completely met: - Zope configured using INSTANCE_HOME, '/var/zope', and SOFTWARE_HOME, '/usr/local/zope/Zope-2.3.1b1'. The installation of CMF on my Zope 2.3.1 is as follows (it could be the cause of the error). I moved the three directories: CMFCore CMFDefault and CMFTopic to lib\python\products and started Zope. This works fine until reconfiguration of the portal.
