python: can't open file 'zpasswd.py'

I've just completed an rpm install of zope on a linux box and I'm not able to log into the management screen. Zope is running. I can see it fine at: http://puccini.myhost.edu:8080 I next tried to log onto the management screen: http://puccini.myhost.edu:8080/manage and was prompted for a username and password I entered u: superuser p:123 and receiver the "unauthorized user " message. Next I logged onto my server trying to run zpasswd.py I tried various ways to run this script including: /usr/bin/python1.5 zpasswd.py /var/zope/access Every time I get the following message: python: can't open file 'zpasswd.py' [root@puccini bin]# ls -l zpasswd -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 9546 May 8 16:00 zpasswd [root@puccini zope]# ls -l access -rw-r----- 1 root zope 65 May 17 10:16 access I've searched this mailing list for answers but I'm still stumped. Questions: 1. Why can't run zpasswd.py 2. Can I edit the access file manually? (Here is what the access file looks like: superuser:{SHA}QL0AFWMIX8NRZTKeof9cXsvbvu8= :puccini.myhost.edu)

Hi, how can I transfer my data from the old installation? I tried to copy the data.fs files, but that didn't work. I couldn't find a how-to. So I really don't know what to do. "Add local filesystem"

Hi there, This is extremly anoying since I've done this before but forgot how-to. On a NT-box I want to add a local filesystem using UNC notation. I try out something like this. ID: Kalle Title: Basepath: \\Cpqp21-32\Dokument ( Cpqp21-32 is the server and Dokument is the share ) Username kalle Password ****** And I keep getting the same error Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: OSError Error Value: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '\\\\Cpqp21-32\\Dokument' Can You please help me. This time around I'm to write the solution on my officewall with a nonerasable marker pen. Cheers Fredrik

The problem there is that when someone tries to actually search for a word sans an accent in this case, they wouldn't find a match. Somehow both cases would need to be indexed... You would have to map the German "a to ae, "o to oe, "u to ue, and finally the sz ligature to ss. If it were me, I'd do the following quick-and-dirty hack: (a) put Squid, Apache, or something similar on port 80 (b) keep Zope on port 9673 or elsewhere (c) use ip filtering to restrict input on port 9673 to be only from localhost, and keep port 80 opened per your normal web policy At least on my initial tests, pointing cadaver at my local port 80 did not work, as Apache did not pass the request onto Zope. The problem there is that WebDAV is a basic HTTP request over the standard HTTP port; it would be all or nothing; a layer 7 filtering solution would be needed. A squid proxy with a redirector or a "layer 7 traffic shaper" like an intel netstructure 7175 would likely be able to filter content if the WebDAV request was an HTTP GET with a distinct URL...
