Can't install LoginManager

Hi, I am using Zope 2.3.2. I am trying to find a way to use LDAP (or htaccess etc) for user authentication into the zope environment. This is to use the same auth as Apache so users only log in once. (trying to re-use a hacked copy of w-agora for a forms based list (like squish-dot) but we have modified it so when posting, your login id is used for the posters id, no spoofed posts). Anyway, it looked like LoginManager may do the trick, but after untaring it and trying to start zope, LoginManager fails. Need a good Postgres Database adapter.

I've used the ZPyGresSQLDA product for a couple of years now. Yet on my new installation of Zope with Python 2 I can't get the product installed. Anyone know of an adapter that works with the newest Zope and Python? Stuart

Virtual Host/Apache Problem

I am using the VirtualHost Monster, and it seems to be working good, however my Apache is not serving up the index_html when I just reference the site root. I am getting "You don't have permission to access / on this server." error. But if I append the index_html to site root, it works just fine. Any ideas. Traverse hook and security

Hi, I'm developing a Zope product myContainer. It has a traverse hook like this: def __bobo_traverse__(self, REQUEST, name): return MyObj(name) MyObj is a transient wrapper class, its properties are populated from a db. Say I've created an instance of the container in Zodb as myContainer, I can visit this url: http://localhost/myContainer/someObj/index_html But when I visit this as the Manager: http://localhost/myContainer/someObj/manage_workspace Zope throws out an authorization box. I have to log in as emergency super user to be able to visit any methods prefixed as 'manage_' under someObj. Is there something missing in my hook? How do I export objects with the change history

I have a wikiweb that has all the change history since its inception available to users. I want to export this to a new Zope installation without losing this information. importing libraries into zope

I'm trying to import a Python module into a Python script in Zope. It continually gives me the error: "Error Type: ImportError Error Value: import of "emUU" is unauthorized" (emUU is the module) I found this example of how to properly import modules by searching the list's archives (thanks, Google!): http://lists.zope.org/pipermail/zope-dev/2001-February/009531.html However, when I try it, Zope complains about using "_" as the first character of a variable. NameError when rendering a zsql-method in a dtml-method in a dtml-method

maybe this is a simple problem, but not to me as a beginner... when rendering a dtml-method which renders itself a dtml-method which calls zsql-method i get the following: ErrorError Type: NameError Error Value: There is no variable named 'name_of_zsql_method' simple namespace problem? playing around with "dtml-with" did not help. please help me. thanks in advance.
