Try localhost:8080/manage, or add your machine name to the laptop's hosts file (sample hosts file found at hosts.sam in /winnt/system32/drivers/etc). Also, there is a known problem with a version of IE, I think it's 5.0 or 5.1, that it won't open the management interface, just upgrade to IE5.5. add a user to zope

Hello, I need your help. I'm trying to add all users from of our company in zope. I don't want enter all users and all passwords. I would like make a dtml-method which select all users and passwords in my (SQL) table and create automatically these users. I have created this dtml-method but I don't succed to redirect the page to "acl_users/manage_users" (method that create users) so that I don't need to press add button for each users. Do you Have a answer or another best solution ? Thanks ... hi, This is not a but w. Zope, but I just noticed it in mailman on the Zope site. If you go to: http://lists.zope.org/pipermail/zope/2001-April/subject.html just about at the bottom are some subjects that talk abut a 'drop-down box', mailman is doling out the HTML tags and my browser is rendering them. j. ...................... ..... I'm still working on this. There aren't any wierd characters in the file. Something else is going on. I've got Zope 2.3.2 installed and CMF 1.1 beta. The monthRange.py module that I'm trying to import is the same one that works on my Windows 2K machine and downloaded from cmf.zope.org. The directory I installed this too on this Windows ME machine is c:\Program Files\..., I am beginning to wonder whether that is the problem (the space in the dir name) in combination with running on this sort-of o/s. using a DTMLFile in a python product method

I have a method in a python product where I return different forms based upon a REQUEST parameter. If I construct the returned html as a python string and return it, it works fine. But it seems more sensible to save the html as a template and then return that. So I created a template file, and used it to create a DTMLFile instance. The problem is that if I return this instance, it is returned html-quoted, which isn't what I want. Looking at the code, I can see this is the expected behavior if you convert it to string, but that isn't being done, explicitly.at least. Anyone know how to get it to show up unquoted? Finding path of an object

Hello, I now this may be a stupid question but I haven't been able to find help in the Zope docs. How do I find the path to where a specific object is located ? NameError, namespace-Problem?

please allow me to post this previously posted mail again. the underlaying problems seems to be crucial for my understanding of Zope. I have a serious namespace-problem when trying to put serveral dtml/zsql-methods together in one rendering act. the problem: first of all i try to render a dtml-method "base_method" located in "/root/subfolder/subsubfolder" via URL. "base_method" is a layout template. inside "base_method" i call the dtml-method "db_query" located in "/root/subfolder/db_stuff" (!) for the output of a more complex db-query : ... <dtml-with db_stuff> <dtml-var "db_query(...)"> </dtml-with> ... Zope finds "db_query" in "db_stuff" and renders it, but is not able to call zsql-methods also located in the same directory "/root/subfolder/db_stuff". Inside "db_query" i try: ... <dtml-in "specific_zsql_method(...)"> ... </dtml-in> ... i tried to fix it with "dtml-with", but when i put "<dtml-with db_stuff>" around the in-tag, Zope can't find "db_stuff". so i'm quite a bit confused. If i can't use dtml-methods in dtml-methods in ... Zope-programming seems to be useless to me! thanks for an answer. Andreas Hölzl
