'Owner' not being set.

Dear All, I'm an information designer, and have been working with our programmer on a project. The url is: http://d029.ml.uwcm.ac.uk:8080/imi_test zClasses and forms have been set up to allow contributors to upload information regarding books, journals, etc, which belong to them. This information should then appear in the relevant area. To upload their information, users navigate to their folders, eg. http://d029.ml.uwcm.ac.uk:8080/imi_test/browse_by_contributor/example/book or http://d029.ml.uwcm.ac.uk:8080/imi_test/browse_by_contributor/example2/book and upload their material using the 'Add book' link/form. (username/password for 'example' is example/example, and username/password for 'example2' is example2/example2. Problem in short: information regarding a book which is uploaded into "example's" book section is also appearing in "example2's" book section. The resulting 'book' object is being added to the correct folder, and the zCatalog seems to be picking up the right metadata - except for the 'owner'. manage_changeProperties

WHY doc.manage_changeProperties(listProperty=1) works but doc.manage_changeProperties({'listProperty':1}) doesn't ? Starting a new database with MySQL

Greetings, I'm trying to start a new database with Zope's MySQL but I'm having trouble with the Database Connection String. The suggestions that have been given to me haven't worked, and I've been unable to locate documentation that answers this question. What should I put in there? Sorry for the noise... As is so easy to do in our modern world...ask first, then investigate. /ZopeHome/lib/Python/Shared/DC/ZRDB/dtml/connectionTestForm.dtml Removed the Style which wants to set the width but does not. Set Rows to 15 and Cols to 80. Worked great. Here I've been complaining all this time and I had the solution in the palm of my hand...Open Source is cool... Great Weekend to all! Allen

Export to Excel format??

Hi, I have a need to have data returned from a query to be displayed in either html, ascii, or MS-Excel formats. Before submitting a query, the user chooses if they want the result returned as a rendered html page to view, an ASCII file to download and import into something else, or as an Excel spreadsheet to download. (From the customers request. They haven't defined what "ascii' means yet - fixed length or csv). Any ideas on how to do this (export to Excel)? I don't think I'll need anything fancy, such as formulas, cell formatting, etc. Probably just a conversion of the html table into something that will be recognized and loaded by Excel. (Would a csv file named "something.xls" or even "something.csv" work??) I've searched the mailing list, but only found discussions on importing from Excel to Zope. I need to go the other way.
