Installing the Managment product for RSS Channels

Hello, I have tried to install the RSS Channels product found at: http://www.zope.org/Members/TheJester/ChannelTag I seems very useful. (I want to add Slashdot news to my portal *S*S*S*) Well .. there's only one problem. The product won't go into Zope :-( I have untared the tarball into the Products directory. When I try to restart Zope it tells me that I need a xmlsax module. Hmm .. where do I find this module ? I have tried a search on the zope.org site but found nothing. Anyone else using this product ? Hi there Some guy screamed for entering tabs in mozilla's textareas. Here is a patch for the 0.9.2 version and my favorite .mozconfig. I found no way to change the keybindings via config file but as the code looks to me this is not possible anyway. Beginner DTML

Hello All! I just installed Zope on Win98 and am soon migrating to Linux. I was wondering whatwould be some good starting points to learn DTML. I'm already very fluent with HTML but DTML seems different (from the source ive looked at). Thanks! J.W.

ZPT equivalent of <dtml-var id>

I'm sure this is obvious, but I'm not finding it... in dtml I can get the ID of the current page as a string by doing <dtml-var id> How do I get the same thing in ZPT? I've tried the following: None of those exist... Dear gentlemen, I have just started with zope! I am impressed with zope capabilities! Since, i have a doubt: When i go to http://<fqdn>/manage i get a upper layer on my browser that shows Zope Logo. May i switch it to my company logo ? On the left layer i get a link to "Digital Creations Refresh", may i change it too? Would this be ilegall (About copyrigths concerns?) a new zope dying

My new Zope server at www.feinsteinhs.com seems to stop working a few times a day for no apparent reason. I compiled 2.3.3 and Python 1.52 on my DebianPPC system. I do get that "Problem(100) Unhandled Event" error, I think when it first serves a page--can't find an explanation of that. This is also the first time I've had to roll my own init script. Could that be the problem? Should the init script just be starting the process with the standard "start" command in my Zope directory? I couldn't get the zopectl product to work, because I couldn't figure out the config from the docs, but it seemed like that might be helpful. Any suggestions? Thanks! --Tom Hoffman

Problem starting Zope 2.2.3 on x86 Solaris 8

ProxyPass

Zope Proxy Objects

Hier the English version: I would like to build a Zope proxy, one of the "special kind". The problem: I have a database which has a free ODBC driver for Windows only, and the client database which I want to access is also living on Windows. Accessing it works fine with Zope's ZODBCDA. The problem is now that our real Zope application must run under Linux, and I would like to use the same database there. So my ide was to have a small Zope running under Windows which attaches to the database, and for the real Linux server, I would write some proxy methods that makes the server think it has direct access to the database. Does anybody know whether something similar already exists? I know the Zope proxy, but I'd like to do a little more, something like a ZPROXYDA, which redirects everything to a different server. Does my approach make sense, or is there a simpler way? I cannot use any paid software since this project must stay completely open-source.
