Cache-Control not working

Hi all, Has anyone be able to use Cache-Control from Zope? I've tried both of the following headers (the later one for IE5.5) but I a new DateTime each time. Quick question about traversal...

I've created a product with a zclass. In the zclass I've got a python script that returns a simple list. I'm trying to use that list in a dropdown menu that that is part of a dtml document off the root, i.e. /somefolder/dtml_document I can't seem to traverse to said script. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob

My last try is find someone who can make the query without problems in this list. Farrell seems to be. But in RedHat. Images from database into html

Hello, I have gained access to a employees' database which among other stuff contains employees' photos (that is, in binary form). I'm trying to display employees with their names and photos etc. To this moment I have figured out only one solution (which does not work). HTML page looks like this: <dtml-in sql_employees> <dtml-var first_name> <dtml-var last_name> <img src="his_or_her_photo"> (which is DTML method) <br> </dtml-in> DTML method his_or_her_photo: <dtml-call "RESPONSE.setHeader('Content-Type','image/gif')"> (just in case, but this apparently has no effect) <dtml-var photo> Since his_or_her_photo is under sql_employees it should return person's photo. I understand that problem is that src inside <img> isn't rendered by Zope but by browser? Any hint would be appreciated. Sven Süld

too many arguments TypeError problem

Consider this class class CImageObject(Photo.Photo): def tag(self, REQUEST=None, display=None, pdcookie=None, height=None, width=None, alt=None, **args): print "proof that CImageObject is the class used" [...my magic on top of Photo...] # the below line is line 48 Photo.Photo.tag(self,REQUEST, display,pdcookie, height,width,alt,args) The Photo class is the Photo product. The tag function looks like this: def __call__(self, REQUEST=None, display=None, pdcookie=None, height=None, width=None, alt=None, **args): " bla bla bla " tag = __call__ My class is called from DTML like this <dtml-var "an_image.tag(border=1,alt='',width=9)"> That's when I get the strange error: Error Type: TypeError Error Value: too many arguments; expected 7, got 8 (Object: tag) File C:\Program Files\zope\lib\python\Products\n4a\medialibrary_zb\medialibrarydata.py, line 48, in tag (Object: 200110.jpeg) TypeError: (see above) If you count them, they match like they should. Our class used to subclass the Image product before, in which's tag() method also has 8 arguments. Does anybody know what's going on? Cheers, Peter

Hi there. I have an form with fields that i would like to fill values from dtml-vars. How ever one of the dtml-vars contain space. ex "c:\my download\filename" and when it is used in a form <TR><TH>Fil Namn</TH> <TD><INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="fil_namn" VALUE=<dtml-var tmp_filnamn> ></TD> </TR> This will display in the field c:\my How on earth do I get the rest to be displayed ?? Problems starting zope

Hi all, I want to restart zope, but I have some problems doing this. I triet to extend zope in this way, that I can make a databaseconnection to a MySQL-database. For this I used ZMySQLDA-2.0.7.tar.gz. After unzipping this file and installing the database-interface I was able to restart zope, but it was not possible to add an databaseconnection to my website, I'm building up in zope. I removed the folder that was created by unzipping the ZMySQLDA-2.0.7.tar.gz-file and tried it with the version ZMySQLDA-2.0.6.tar.gz, because this version was recommended in a book I've read. Then I tried to restart zope, but I got the following error-message: [1]3845 pengine:/opt/zope-current # Traceback (innermost last): File "/opt/zope-current/z2.py", line 548, in? zdaemon.run(sys.argv, os.path.join(CLIENT_HOME, Zpid)) NameError: CLIENT_HOME [1]+ Exit 1 I don't know very much about zope and its technology, so I hope that someone can help me, to solve my problem

dtml-in and if

Hi everybody.. I have a question... How should I do the folowing? I now have this <dtml-in "objectValues(['Informatie', 'sitenieuws'])" start=query_start size="6" sort=bobobase_modification_time reverse> <dtml-if "publish=='true'"> <dtml-var title> </dtml-if> This means it wil find all the objects if the publish property is true. But here is my problem. If if I want 6 of the titles on my frontpage (size=6) it doesn´t work because the fist 6 it might find aren´t publish = true I guess the thing I would want to do is the above code but than with a else bit that increases the sitze of the query if the publish property isn´t true. Hello All! I'm having a little problem: newlines in TEXTAREAS used to enter forms are encoded as %0D%0A by url_quote which is standard (newline+return). however, this data is loaded by a Flash file (through a loadvariables call), and Flash renders 2 newlines instead of just one (treating both %0D and %0A as new lines). There seems to be no way to instruct flash to ignore one of them. Is there an elegant way to prevent one to happen in Zope? Is it possible to add my own "url_quote_single" to the dtml-var tag, which i guess could be a url_quote wrapped in a string.replace? I'm using url_quote quite heavily (all the site data goes through it), so an efficient solution is hoped for... THanks! Alex.

setting multiple cookies

I am having a problem setting multiple cookies. From a Python method the following code: RESPONSE.setCookie('language', 'Python') RESPONSE.setCookie('server', 'Zope') only sets the 'language' cookie on the clients I've tested. Has anybody else seen this behavior in any Zope versions? FYI when I run the same code through Medusa using the old bobo libraries I have the same problem. Ray
