Hello all, I am having problems related to xml. If i understand your question, you only have to set the security permissions in the folder "homepage_dir", and the files and folders inside this one must acquire the permission settings (when you create a document it acquires the permission settings by default) Bye. Thank you for the response but it seems to me that my problem are not the scripts any more. Even after I deleted the scripts (simple_tree and image_batches_error) the openbsd zope refuses to import the file. After 14 minutes mozilla informed me that the connection was refused when attempting to contact the server, zope (started with -D) shows the startup messages again and nothing was imported. Importing the same file with linux-zope succeeded after 16 minutes. tia Jens-Erik

How to identy a fieldname exist or not?

Hello friends, I have a table1 in database. Have fieldnames like "book_id","bookname",table2 has "user_id","username" I use a Python Script call a ZSQL Method and get result from that ZSQL Method. There is not any fieldname like "phone". Why I couldn't check this in Python Script? Actually, I posted the dll and 3 test scripts (the two here, plus one non-threaded) to the sourceforge site, hoping for either a clue or a bugfix. I think I did use the extending/embedding doc you sited, along with the O'Reilly books, when I was teaching myself to write extensions. I don't recall anything much related to threading, except Py_BEGIN/END_ALLOW_THREADS, which I think just deals with blocking, which I suspect is a different (and irrelevent?) issue here. C's not my best language, so I'm always a bit suspicious of my C-code when dealing with something even remotely interesting. ---------- Keith J. Auto restart (at Zope's own initiative !!!)

This happened on my newly installed Zope 2.5.0 (on debian box) I don't remember having done something special (just when browsing folders through the ZMI) and working alone on this server. Here is the console log... UnpickleableError with objects derived from Sync.Synchronized

Hi! I have objects in my product which shouldn't be accessed simultaneously by different threads. So I mixed their class in the Sync.Synchronized class as recommended in http://www.zope.org/Documentation/How-To/ThreadSafety. As a counter-case; I had a bunch of these and they would _not_ run until they were recompiled. Most annoying. There's a magic method that does a find-and-apply to all python scripts automatically, can't remember what it's called off the top of my head. Folder view error in ZMI

Just started getting an odd error on a folder. The folder contains lots of relatively small images; hundreds. The images continue to be displayed correctly when called individually.
