Cookie problem / bug?

>From Python Script I do: context.REQUEST.RESPONSE.setCookies(cookie_id, value, expired=data) In Konqueror works. Mozilla -- does not. Then I do: context.REQUEST.RESPONSE.setCookies(cookie_id, value, expired=data) context.REQUEST ...and no any HTTP_COOKIES in Request with Mozilla. :-( From DTML works both fine, but I want PyScript. What shell I do? P.S. If I do just "context.RESPONSE" -- Error: "Response" not defined -- Bogdan M.Maryniuck

Unexplained performance differences between uploads

Has anyone else found differences in upload times, between FTP and the management interface? These are times of single file uploads, from my local file system:. (no bandwith issues) A tiff file of 4.7 MB: From the MI: 2'10" / Using FTP:25 seconds A jpeg of 478Kb: MI: 14 seconds / FTP: 3 1/2 seconds An mp3 of 3.6MB: MI: 1'40" / FTP: 17 seconds Why is this happening? Times were measured from pushing the required button until the page response (in the case of the MI), and until the "transfer complete" message in FTP. The test box was a Pentium 200 running W2K, Zope 2.5b4, IE 5.5, and WS_FTP95. Moreover, when using Netscape 4.75 the times were even longer, unless playing around with the browser window (meaning resizing it several times during the upload) wich "speeds up" the upload by apparently compelling the page to respond. (It looks more like a Netscape's bug this sort of response laziness) . Nonetheless FTP was still faster, and doing the same trick in IE didn't change the times above. Is it known that FTP is faster even for single uploads? If so, why does it have to be that way? Thanks in advance, Ausum p.s. This is a repost. Thanks Oliver for your immediate response. Zope Book Chapter 5 Puzzle with Zope Zoo "inheritance"

In The Zope Book Chapter 5 I have a puzzle about making the standard_html_headerobject containing a list of folders called "navigation" display in the sub directories below where the dtml method called standard_html_header is created. If you have the book, I can make the display called Figure 5.2. The example works in the Zope Zoo directory. The example code does not work in three subdirectories below Zope Zoo called Reptiles, Mammals and Fish. According to the Zope Book, the subdirectories are supposed to inherit the neat navigational listing of folders that happens when the Zope Zoo folder is viewed. So here are three questions: 1. I am running Zope-2.4.3-linux2-x86 ... do I have a bug? 2. Is there a Zope Book Errata somewhere? 3. Where can I find some newbie debugging suggestions? 4. I copied from root the standard_html_header to Zope Zoo and edited it. Is my problem that I copied some security or user setting that screws up the example? Thanks for some direction. Zope is neat but I'm Truly Clueless at the moment.

Hey, Finally think I got CookieUserFolder figured out. Question though, how can I get rid of/customize the traceback error shown if an unauthorized user trys to reach a protected page? -D

Hello Joseph, Because my OS is GNU/Linux Debian. So I modified the start sheel script just like what you said. ############### /etc/initd.d/zope && /usr/sbin/zopectl ############### But still could not set the right time zone for my Zope. Anyone get this to work? I don't see much in the archives about this. No, I don't want to mess with apache. I want to run a few little CGIs (like squid's cachemgr.cgi) and courier's webmail cgi. There wouldn't happen to be a product that would allow this, would there? Marc

How to change the time zone for Zope?

Hello friends, I have Zope 2.4.2 installed from debian deb file. The local time is "2002-01-27 11:05 CST" then I modified a Dtml method & saved, but on Zope the Dtml method's modified time is " 2002-01-27 21:05" How to set up the time zone on Zope ? Thanks in advance Terry

How to get off version trouble?

You need to save your work and "Quit" working on the version before you delete. Try undoing the deletion of the version. Them I click on the new "Version" "v1" to work on new version of my website. 3. Zope said "I'm working on version v1". Yap, that's right. 3. I delete the "Version" v1 from "Zope Web management interface". 4. Zope said I'm working on a "Version" named "(/No longer active/ ) ", but why ???.
