How to make a folder with a path property?

Dear List We are trying to make a folder-like product with a path property. In one of the zope books it says that __bobo__traverse can be used to let an object have multiple parents. CMF has the skin_tool and in some sense one could say that what we want to make is a product where there is only *one* skin. Should we use is the bobo approach or the CMF way? \Oliver

Zope & Gimp & Win32

I'm trying to create a product that will dynamically create pictures by calling Gimp from Zope. Eventually the code will run on a Linux server, but for now I'm on a Windows box. Has anyone ever done this? If so, any pointers on how to go about calling Gimp from a Zope product? Thanks, Anders Schneiderman

Trouble With Python Script

Hi; I'm trying to add a python script and running into this error: Error Type: TypeError Error Value: indexCSS() takes no arguments (1 given) I click the *Script (Python)* button from the pull-down menu and add the script *indexCSS* thus: ## CSS for index_frame.zpt of TELEVISION.VI ## ##parameters=size ## ## I use a function I've already built--but include afresh within this file--called sizeCalc2() ## I also utilize lamda functions inline, converting the int to a string ## import string def sizeCalc2(x,y): y = string.atoi(y) x = int(round(x*y/1280)) return x def indexCSS(size): css = ".headline { position: absolute; top: "+str(sizeCalc2(100,size))+"; left: "+str(sizeCalc2(200,size))+"; }" return css ... and add the following as a parameter size Yet, still, I get the above error. KnowledgeKit?

Is anyone using this? It was greeted with joy by my documentation team, but it is rather old and crufty. I am faced with the task of converting it to ZPT among other things. Also, the fact that I can't seem to add a custom index_html to a knowledge base instance is rather annoying... Topic search on "path" criteria (?) does it work ?

I've set a criteria type on "string criteria" and indicated a part of my path: Nothing return in the topic match !!! ZPT: string: arrays. How to?

Hello, Quick question: I've an array ARRAY. How can I print its first (or nth) element in a ZPT string: expression ? string: myurl?var=${ARRAY/3} string: myurl?var=${ARRAY[3]} string: myurl?var=$ARRAY[3] none of these work! Strange notsupported error

I suddenly started getting this error on my zope-pages, and I can no longer access the manage-pages (the same error just pops up): Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: NotSupportedError Error Value: (1196, "Warning: Some non- transactional changed tables couldn't be rolled back") Anyone recognize this? LocalFS indexing on CMF ?

Hi all, I am using LocalFS on W2000 with Zope 2.51 and CMF1.3 I catalogged my files by using the portal_catalog tool, the "Find Ojects", searching for the "File" object type. In the ZMI, I get the list of all object identifiers cataloged : looks OK ! When I move to the details of the catalog contents "catalog" tab, I get the object identifier correct BUT the details of a cataloged file gives me some strange information: Metadata Contents Metadata is the information that the Catalog keeps inside of its internal structure so that it can answer questions quickly. This is then returned in the "brain" that the Catalog gives back during searches. Posting a document to Zope via a Java Program

My idea is to submit a document using a Java Client and not the browser. I could do this successfully using my *JAVA HTTP Client program* written by me. The server I used is Tomcat4.0.3 and a JSP program Upload.jsp (that uses com.orelly.servlet.MultiPart). If it works fine here it should work fine with any HTTP server including Zope. But when I try "Zope" server (with program http://localhost:8080/Examples/FileLibrary/addFile) it gives me a 500 error. I am posting the error message below if you can give some clue...
