Httplib and Python version of Zope 2.5.1

Hi! I need to use httplib library in Zope, but I need the http protocol to be HTTP 1.1. I've searched in www.python.org and I think that the httplib in Python 2.1 uses HTTP 1.0 and the httplib in Python 2.2 uses HTTP 1.1. Is that right? If it is right, then I would need Zope to use Python 2.2. I'm using Zope 2.5.1, but I think it doesn't use Python 2.2. Is that right? If it is right, then does Zope 2.6.0 use Python 2.2? If not, can I just change the httplib.py file in the Zope installation and use Python 2.2's version? I mean, are there changes in the API interface? Thanks in advance, Igor Leturia

Chris, Your script worked, but Zope does not allow someone to login at the console (as the output and process take up the screen). I tried modifying it to: su - zope -c "/home/zope/start &" But the process immediately dies. I thought Zope was supposed to start in daemon mode? image thumbnails, etc

Hi, I have a repository of images and videos. Does anybody know of any product/PyScript that allows me to create thumbnail of images on the fly?? I also wanted to take a snapshot of the videos and present them as thumbnails or maybe present the first frame of the video as a thumbnail. Any help would be appreciated. All, Okay I see that VirtualHostBase doesn't work unless it is seen as an incoming URL. Since I want to process incoming requests from one site to go to a specific folder, I tried the example rule: ucdra.ucdavis.edu:80/ucdra Which, according to the documentation, should publish /ucdra when ucdra.ucdavis.edu:8080 is visited. Unfortunately, it does not. Suggestions? Joseph, At this point, I'm most interested in creating buttons, banners, and other graphic elements for some web-creating tools we're developing. From what I can see from the documentation for PIL and DevIL, it's possible to do some of this, but they don't seem to have the scope of features that the world of Gimp/Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro offer. I could be wrong, though. If anyone has examples on their website of using PIL or DevIL for sophisticated web graphic work that involves creating new images, I'd love to check it out. For ex, the simplest thing I want to do is to let a user type in text & choose between several colors and styles and then generate a bunch of buttons, which might be bevelled, plus a page banner graphic. Can I do this in PIL w/o driving myself nuts? If so, do you have any exs of what the code to do so looks like? I've seen posts where someone claimed that you can do this in PIL but I've never seen any examples & didn't see a relatively painless way to do it explained in the (very brief) documentation. Adding __setitem__ to a formulator field?

there are __getitem__() and get_value() methods for formulator fields. I'd like to experiment with __setitem__ and set_value().
