Xron ready for production? Anyone using it live?

Hi All, I'm interested in starting to maintain Xron, if it has potential to be a stable products. From the code it doesn't seem to do any strange things, but I would like to know if anybody has experience of using it in a production environment, or any other experiences and that would recommend not using it in a production environment. The central feature I'm interested in is the ability to setup packing policies inside Zope. I know many people uses Cron or Scheduler but I like to have a platform independent solution and preferably one inside the Zope process. dtml-if and checkboxes

Hey All, I'm experimenting with zope again, playing with the REQUEST object and form objects. In my latest delimma, I've got the following snippet: <dtml-if expr="check_box == ('on')"> The check box is checked! </dtml-if> What I don't get: if the checkbox is checked in the form, then this works, and I get the output. If it isn't checked, then I get an error saying that the checkbox ("check_box" in the form) isn't defined. This is borne out as well by <dtml-var expr="REQUEST.form">, which shows a text box's name and the value that it holds (whether it holds a value or not), and the checkbox's name and value ('on'), when it's checked. If it isn't checked, it isn't there at all. So, I guess I'm going to have to look to see whether it's there or not, right? How would I do that? Thanks for the help! Russell

newbie question:accessing a method of a Product

Hi, I am a newbie in developping with zope. I am trying to set a webpage where I can upload a image by calling the EasyImage product. How can I call addEasyImage from a dtml document? I need to do something like: <dtml-var addEasyImage> but for that I need to be in the right namespace? I can't figure out how to do it! My webpage should display the upload form of an image object. I would change it so all of the files are readable by the user that runs zope - zope in your case. Well, I got one better: ><dtml-if check_box> The check box is checked! </dtml-if> This works because if it's checked, then it's there. If it isn't checked, it isn't there, and it fails. So no output. No, because if the checkbox is not checked then there will be no such variable in the REQUEST, so the if test will fail. This is how forms work, as Jim Penny just said.
