xron post install problem

Hi, Iam running Zope 2.5.1 on RH7.2 (note: I havethe ftp server and PCGI disabled). I just installed Xron 0.0.10 and restarted. There were no errors during the restart. mailhost location problem

Hi, since restructuring my zope objects to tidy up the project's root folder, I've been able to get objects working, but others not. I have put things like some zsql and python methods in a folder called 'helpers', so I can call a python method which spits out a dropdown HTML element, from any page as <dtml-var "helpers.category_dropdown()"> but I can't seem to make a <dtml-sendmail ..> tag work, however I refer to the mailhost object living in helpers. I've tried <dtml-sendmail mailhost="helpers/MailHost">, helpers.MailHost, and everything else I can think of, but it complains it still can't find it. Could anyone tell me how to refer to this mailhost object? TIA Ben Avery YouthNet UK (p.s. Zope 2.5.1, Python 2.1.3, Solaris 7)

Folders inaccessible through FTP when added by home-grown product

Hi I have a home-made python product. One bit adds Folder objects to the new instance of my class holding default stuff, etc. But these folders are not accessible via FTP, I get the error: cd: Access failed: 550 No such directory. (/sites/beta.xx.com/style) The following works: - ttw editing of the Folder objects - FTP access to my class of objects, even nested ones - adding a folder ttw to an instance of my class - ftp access works Where can I start figuring this out? F.

Releasing a database connection automatically

Hello, I'm using VFP7 over ODBC as database backend. However VFP7 is not only the database backend, but still has a application running on the same data zope uses. Some functionality which is built into the VFP7 appliction (like database reorg) requires that the VFP application gets exclusive access to the data. When I'm running zope on them, then I first have to stop it and after the action took place to start it again. Is it possible to signal zope that it should release the database connection, so the action could take place? After that, if zope gets the next request, it would open the database connection again. Products and clases with new attributes

Hi all: Long time ago I started to develop a big product, it's under development now, but with some stable releases in a client. My problem is that new releases of a Product adds new attributes and when I upgrade de Product, I need to create another instance and recreate all the system, because old instances in the zobd haven't that attributes... Now, it's no problem, but when this system is in production, with hundred of objects... buff... How I can solve this problem...? Bug in sendmail tag?

Hi all, I'm stuck with the following code. In zope 2.5.1 this code results in an attribute error with error value 'sendall'. In zope 2.4.3 it works. I've noticed there are differences in smtplib.py between the two versions. But the code I use is correct according two the DTML Reference. Zope and packet loss

Hi all, I use Zope as server (W2k) behind POUND proxy (little old linux RedHat 5.2). When I connect to our website from unreliable line with high packet loss (20%), pages and images served by Zope does not arrive or arrive not complette/broken. But from other servers this does not appears. It displays pages and images correctly. Note that from dialup line Zope serves all content OK. Does have somebody something similar? Regards JL.
