Printable Web Forms and Dynamic Queries

Good Morning, I have a report with mulitple columns of data. Problem is that the report is too wide to print out. http://www.ajccc.org/Reports/Kbm/fsukmssy.htm . At the same time I would like the user to have control over the contents of the report. The contents is made up of raw data and calculated data. What would you guys (and gals) suggest if I needed multiple reports? Would Pluggable Brains be the most maintainable way of doing this? Thanks. Joseph

Thanks for the reply, but the Name error is in the UserFileFolder_add method when it is calling UserFileFolder.createInObjectManager. Any how, all I really wanted is was a WORKING example of how to add a ZClass to a folder in Python Script? Nothing more? Your website link did not work, either. It tells you which name is not found! As you surely understand this is an essential information. From your code above, I would expect "folder" is unknown. But that's probably because your just forgot to show us the definition of "folder"... The traceback suggests, "id" is unknown in "REQUEST". I expect that this is due to the fact, that "UserFileFolder_add" is a DTML method that is called wrongly (without the necessary 2 positional parameters). If this analysis is correct, then you should read the section "Calling DTML objects" in <http://www.dieter.handshake.de/pyprojects/zope/book/chap3.html> For the future: When you report tracebacks, you should report "Error Type" and "Error Value", too. install on solaris

Sitting in limbo on this. I've followed the Install and Documentation to a T. I've ./install -u 'normaluser" i've set permission as the documentation advised. on the var directory to allow 'nobody' permission as well as on the 'inituser' This was so that i could ./start as root. This is so I culd serve pages through apache at a later date. For right now I am happy to let Zserver serve the Pages. When I run ./start everything looks like it starts fine. http started ftp started one more line about pcgi (even though I didn't ./start -p) and that is it. everything looks like it starts fine but when I try to go to http://mymachine.com:8080 or mymachine:8080/manage nothing comes up. Do I need to install PYTHON first? I thought binaries came with a precompiled python. I've been dealing with this for two weeks now with no progress. I would really appreciate any assistance on this. PROBLEM(100) and Forking

Hello, I'd like to understand what exactly the errors mean that Zope writes to its stupid_log. There are mainly two messages that I find.. First: 2002-02-15T08:07:24 PROBLEM(100) Script (Python) Object "somePythonScript" needs to be recompiled. It seems that everytime a "Script (Python)" object is run, Zope generates this message. Is this normal or is there a real problem that I should be aware of? Viewing ASCII Files through Zope

Hi, How would I take an existing (file-system) directory structure and mediate that through Zope? I want to take an arbitrary file-system path and transform it to a url which can be accessed through Zope (to take advantage of authentication and possible decorate the file contents on the way through). This without having to add zope objects per file. e.g. url /a/b/file1 will render the ascii file at /a/b/c/d/file1 url /e/f/file2 will render the ascii file at /e/f/g/h/file2 I've trawled around without finding anything obvious. I imagine a slightly hacky use of standard_error_message could be made to work, but is there an alternative?
