Unable to access user defined cookies in code being executed from Control_Panel

Dear friends, Greetings !! I have created a cookie to store some info about the user. But the cookie cannot be accessed from scripts in Control_Panel folder and its subfolders. The Control_Panel folder behaves quite differently compared to normal folder. Is there any documentation on this? Regards, - sree

Can any one give me a working example of how to add a ZCLASS to a folder in Python Script? Testing for Equality

Hi, I have a form which the user is supposed to indicate whether their residence is the same as their spouse's residence. If the mother and father live in the same residence, I want to skip the mother's address because we already have it. If the residence is not the same, I want the user to enter the mother's address. Here is how I implemented it. I have a form called maritalStatus on which the user selects from a radio button group their marital status and also selects Yes or No to the question about the residence address. The post method for that form is a folder name, forms, in which index_html is a form which is used to enter the father's info. This form receives a variable called SAME_RESIDENCE from the maritalStatus form. I need to pass SAME_RESIDENCE on from the father's form to the mother's form so I have a hidden field in the form which looks like this: <input type=hidden name=SAME_RESIDENCE.<dtml-var expr="_.getitem('SAME_RESIDENCE')">:record> The post method for the father's form is a folder called mothers which is contained within forms. Its index_html is the mother's info form. SAME_RESIDENCE is passed to it by the father's form in REQUEST.form. I am having difficulty with testing for the value of SAME_RESIDENCE. Here is the code I am using. <dtml-if expr="_.getitem('SAME_RESIDENCE')=='Y'"> Same residence <dtml-else> Not the same residence </dtml-if> The expression always evaluates false so I guess I am doing something wrong. For debugging purposes, I added the following to the top of the page: <p>Same Residence = <dtml-var expr="_.getitem('SAME_RESIDENCE')"></p> and the value of SAME_RESIDENCE changes appropriately as I select Yes or No on the maritalStatus form so I know that it is not the problem. Importing a third party module into Python Scripts

Zope-2.5.0-src + python2.1.2 + OpenBSD 3.0 don't work

It's me again, the power-luser from http://lists.zope.org/pipermail/zope/2002-January/107872.html So I followed Chris McDonough's advice and installed 2.1, and then 2.1.2. dtml-in totals

I need to total variable from a dtml-in and give the result at the bottom. I can't seem to figure out what needs to be done to get this result. If I have the following: <dtml-in sql_statement> <table> <tr> <td> <dtml-var dollar_amount> </td> </tr> </table> </dtml-in> How do I total all the iterations of dollar_amount? Is there a way in dtml to put a variable in that stores a running total? TIA Rick

Need to backup

Hi there! I need to make a backup of some files in the Linux filesystem that I got the Zope Running. After get those files together in a tar file, I want to let that file avelable for download in a site in Zope. How would I make a path, through Zope, to reach this file in the filesystem? Note that I don't want to import that file to ZODB. Role for hasattr()

I have a script that calls hasattr(); the script is proxied as "Author" a role that I've created which has the basic add and change files but not much else.
