Hello, I tried <dtml-let item="sonstiges.help.sonstiges.err.getitem(_.str(httpcode))"> <dtml-if item> <dtml-var "item.title()"> <dtml-else> NO ITEM </dtml-if> <dtml-let> My "err" folder as several of DTML Methods which give an explanation for every HTTP error code. I want to retrieve that explanation. It has to be failsafe in cases where an explanation for the errorcode is missing. What is wrong with my code? Any ideas how to solve the problem? Thanks Ulrich

connet to MS-SQL database with ython script from with in zope

Hi all, I am a newbie to zope as well as to python. I want to know if i can connect to a MS-SQL server database using python script from with in zope. I tried to import 'odbc' in the python script (from zope) and i got an error message saying "import 'odbc' is unauthorised". My code is: import odbc db=odbc.odbc('mydatabase') cursor=db.cursor() cursor.execute('select * from mytable') for i in fetchall() print i return printed I am a bit confused as to how to do this from zope. Is there a odbc library in zope that i have to import? i need some kind of help... --Madhavi

Problem with grouping of a sequence

Hello, I'm trying to group a sequence by their first letter to build a list of objects, but am having a problem: The <dtml-if first-sequence-letter> never becomes true! I can print out <dtml-var sequence-letter> just fine, but if I try to detect when they change, no dice, it never occurs! Here's my code: <dtml-var standard_html_header> <table> <dtml-in "portal_catalog.searchResults( meta_type='Archive Map', review_state='published')" sort=Title skip_unauthorized> <dtml-if first-sequence-Letter>true</dtml-if> <tr><td><dtml-var sequence-Letter></td></tr> <tr><td><dtml-var Title></td></tr> </dtml-in> </table> <dtml-var standard_html_footer> This should output each letter of the alphabet as they change, right? What am I doing wrong here? Is this a bug? Any help woul dbe greatly appreciated! Does Zope translate http-equiv statements?

Does Zope translate http-equiv statements? I always thought that the *client* interpreted http-equiv statements. But now I'm not sure anymore. Does Zope translate http-equiv statements in the HTML-header and put these into the HHTP-header?

ZClass permissions

I have created a ZClass and a new View called "Edit" which displays a DTML Method containing an automatically generated Formulator form (both situated inside the ZClass). However when I create an instance of the ZClass then click the "edit" view, I am prompted to enter my username and password. If I change the DTML method to a simple "Hello World" message it works fine, so it seems to be something to do with the Formulator form. Obviously there is a permission problem somewhere, but where should I be looking? Zope Version (Zope 2.5.0 (binary release, python 2.1, win32-x86), python 2.1.2, win32) Python Version 2.1.2 (#31, Jan 15 2002, 17:28:11) [MSC 32 bit (Intel)] System Platform win32 T.

No, i am manager "of the universe" :) I went on experimenting and exported every object from 2.4.1 (one by one) Started 2.5.0 and imported them one by one. After every import i checked whether the authorization popup was slow. Allmost at the end it was bingo: standard_error_message was the cause. In the past i changed the standard_error_message to give me a mail when there was an error, with details about the error. The 2.5.0 standard_error_message is not mailing anymore and almost the original standard_error_message. Everything is working fine, but i still have the question: why? i will have to start removing line after line from the old standard_error_message to look which line is causing the trouble. Installation problem with CMF 1.2

Hi, I'm new to zope and CMF. I was following all the instructions to install CMF1.2 but couldn't see anything in Control Panel/Products after restarting Zope. It took me a while to figure out that the individual folders CMFDefault CMFCore CMFTopics CMFCalendar have to be copied directly into the products folder ( eg. Products/CMFCore ) and not under Products/CMF-1.2. All documentation refers to installing these under Products/CMF-1.x or that's what I understood. -Gunjan
