Call profiler, profiling ZPTs?

In my Configure screen I get only to monitor DTML Method, Python Script and Z SQL Methods. I also want to monitor Zope page templates. What do I need to do? peter (Zope 2.4.0. ZPT 1.4.1) PS. ZPTs are working fine on the server.

ZDiscussions instalation problems

When trying to install ZUBB product (I've tried versions ZDiscussions-0.6.0 and 0.7.1 with the same result) I seem to be able to install the product correctly, but when attempting to create an instance of ZDiscussion Topic (after entering ID and Title) I get the following error: Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. Master-detail database updates

Is there a best practice way of writing master-detail forms for database inserts/updates with Zope? I haven't been able to find any good examples in the documentation or how-to's. I have managed to get an html form to work for inserting/updating a master table and two associated detail tables from the limited information I have found, but what I have done seems a complete messy kludge. It has involved using znolk to generate the default forms for the master table maintenance and then adding sql-methods to get the detail information which I then put into list variables. I loop round the list variables on the update form to display all the detail lines and then loop round an extra couple of times to generate empty detail lines to allow for additions of detail. I have another submit button on the form that basically just redraws the form but adds some extra blank lines to the detail if they are needed. Finally when saving the information I have the update method do an update of the master table data then delete all the associated detail table data and then add back in all the detail from the form. Although this works there are a number of things that I don't like about it, the main one being the fact it deletes all the detail data and then adds it back. However, all the alternatives I could think of had their own drawbacks. Has anyone else been through the same sort of things? Are there any products that would help? Are there better ways to do it using python scripts and database packages/procedures (the database is Oracle 8i)? Any suggestions are welcome. Debugging with Komodo on a win98 box

Dear List, I try to setup Zope for the remote debugging with Komodo on a Win98-box. But I cannot manage to set the environment variables that zope and komodo can interact. Zope and komodo are running on the same win98 -box. my Zope-root: J:zope\zopesite my Komodo-root: J:komodo1.1 my hostname: PC-A my zopeport: 8080 I tried PYTHONPATH="J:\komodo1.1\callcomodo or PYTHONPATH="J:\zope\zopesite\lib\python;J:\komodo1.1\callcomodo Still zope doesn´t find callcomodo.py. After copying the callcomodo files to J:\zope\zopesite\lib\python this worked but I got another error: Calling connect (192.168.10.1, 1053, some CookieID=) Connection problem. So how do I setup the right port? newbie -- DTML arguments

This seems really basic, but can DTML Methods accept arguments? (It seems to me that they can't). And if not, is there a "best practice" way for getting an "argument" into the file? It would quite often seem to be useful to pass a variable into a DTML document to control its behavior. Converting the whole thing to Python solely for this purpose seems wasteful, wrappers in Python seem clumsy, etc. I'm wondering if there's a smart way to do it. Thanks! How to use "and" operator in dtml-if

Hi All, Can anyone show me how to use the operator "and" in the tag <dtml-if> This is how i've used it but it doesn't worked for me. You are using the wrong quote characters. In Oracle, double quotes are used to define a case sensitive column name, so it is looking for a column called 08/08/1997 not the string. Use single quotes and it will work. However there are numerous other problems with your SQL.
