Hello all, This is my first post. I've noticed a couple of weird things in 2.5.0. First off, the management editor keeps insisting on putting closing tags in for <dtml-var> (like </dtml-var>) after I click "Save Changes" on a DTML doc. Also, for some reason, the <dtml-var someDTMLMethod> doesn't work. Here's an example: index_html is a dtml document that contains the following (note the dotted lines are not part of the code, they just delimit it for the purposes of this email): ------------------------------------ <dtml-var standard_html_header> Testing...<br> <dtml-var testDtmlMethod><br> Done test!<br> <dtml-var standard_html_footer> ------------------------------------ and testDtmlMethod is a DTML Method that contains: ----------------------- IF THE TEST WORKS THIS SHOULD PRINT!!! ----------------------- When you view index_html in the browser, it looks like this: ----------------------- Testing... Done test! ----------------------- But it should print this: ----------------------- Testing... IF THE TEST WORKS THIS SHOULD PRINT!!! ending a chunked http stream

I'm writing some things in a stream to the browser, to keep the user informed that stuff is happening while a long-winded process unfolds. When that process has ended, I want to publish a DTML template as a new page. How can I end the HTTP stream and start a new one? def someFunction(self, REQUEST): response = REQUEST.RESPONSE # do something longwinded response.write("please wait") # do something else longwinded # now I want the following DTML Method to get displayed return self._report_template(self, REQUEST) seb

I've also been looking for a free wysiwig html editor that I could use for a project I'm working on. After receiving this last post, I googled "IEMethod" and found this url: http://www.bris.ac.uk/ISC/cms/ttw.html This page provides a long list of wysiwig editors. passing values from dtml->dtml; http quote?

I have some arguments that I want to pass from one DTML method to another. In the source DTML document, the values are in the REQUEST object. I could pass them to the destination document with the CGI syntax <a href=print_eeg_description?id=<dtml-var id>&fname=<dtml-var eeg_url>&date=<dtml-var date>>description</a> where print_eeg_description is the destination DTML document. The problem I am encountering is one of the vars has a space in it; I need something like HTTP quote. But this also makes me wonder if there is a better way to pass variables between DTML documents. Getting rid of CST in 2.5?

I'd like to get rid of the default session tracking coming with Zope 2.5 as I need to use the SQLSession product. How would I do it? Simply deleting the Sessions product did not help, as it rendered the instance inaccessible... Thanks, Stefan
