Great, now the million dollar question. What's the best way to get my arms around this beast? Should I start with the Zope book? Are there good tutorials or white papers out on the web somewhere? downloading files crashes Zope

Hi everybody, we have Zope running for a European project and the users access the server with different platforms: Windows, Solaris and Macintosh. But, with one of the Macintosh computers, each time that the user tries to download a file, Zope crashes -I have to restart it again. Has anybody this problem? Is it related to kind of users permissions ? Is any file where the log of problems is registered ? Thanks for any help. Zope Extensions Folder

Is there a way to change the way Zope searches for the 'Extensions' folder according to the user ID? - ie/ Is there a way to change this default setting so that it is a sub-directory? I want to use external methods in a module not located in the Extensions folder. Thanks :)

Hi What changes did you make or where did you get them from? I'm a Zope user and don't know the internals. So I'd be very grateful for some help. If you could ellaborate on those 2-3 lines you apparently changed... I'll check on my situation with -D and try your startup option! I'll post my results. -- And for those following the "threading and prformance" track. I've tried if ProxyPass or Rewrite make any difference in threading behaviour - they dont! extract values from zope

After many months of accumulating information from users filling in forms my intranet zope server has accumulated a large amount of useful information I would like to extract into sqlserver for analysis and use elsewhere. Some pointers as to how to extract the values into a useful format for import into a database would be appreciated. Mike B

If you think you've been having MySQL-related problems, then give it a try. Also give MySQLdb-0.9.2a2 a try, though there are no critical fixes in there for Zope users. I'm tryng to use Webfolder with Casey Duncan Document Library with my Zope 2.5 on Win2Kpro, this is my experience, but my Zope lebvel is near to zero. I can create a webfolder to http://myZope:xxxx/DL/Documents where xxxx is my zope webdav port and DL my Doc Library instance. I also can modify a document but only one time, at the second modification I obtain a "read-only document" message. Ciao, Michele

Hi, Is it possible to create zope objects such as folders, database connections, Z SQL Methods and documents with a script written in python? If so could someone provide a link to resources or provide some sample code. Thanks Dean
